How long can you store blank cartos??

Hey!

I am just wondering how long you can keep blank cartos on hand, and if they ever go bad?

I tend to "collect" (lol) a lot of blank cartos at a time. I figure at an avg of 3 days per carto, I am good to go for almost 2 years right now. I like to stock pile.....

So what do you all think? 1 year shelf life? 2 year shelf life? Just curious before I go on a carto buying bender again!!

I do not boil or reuse them. I use them 3 days or so, and then toss for a new one. So this is purely about storing unused, brand new, never filled, and wrapped in plastic cartos.

I don't know for sure, but I'd imagine as long as they are dry and kept away from humidity, you could store them indefinitely. Just a guess...

there is no reason why they would not last forever if kept dry and sealed ..

That's what I was thinking too. And I rotate them as well. First purchased are first used.

I don't think cartos have been around long enough to give a great answer to that question. In theory they should last forever if stored properly but we dont' know that for certain yet. The other thing to consider is the fact that new products and advances in vaping gear are happening rapidly. Are you sure you're gonna be wanting to use the same cartos you use today more than 2 years from now ? Chances are pretty good that something you consider better is going to be available by the time two more years rolls around. Just something to consider before stocking up on something today that you won't be using for more than 2 years from now.

They should many years if stored in a dark dry location.
Eventually adhesives, plastic or filler may decompose on some models.
I know dry attys store more than 2 years w/o issue.
I expect a SS CE2 will last for decades to centuries.
I expect a clear DC will last at least a decade.
