I used my eRoll for about 3 wks, gradually getting more and more frustrated with it, before I ordered an iTaste vv3, and got a kanger T3S to put on it because those iClear16's just SUCK. I got that device, vv3+T3S, on my actual first day smoke-free. I put the eRoll into the drawer the next day. Though I did bring it back out when I had to quit again after my month-long smoke-break in the summer; the eRoll makes a good bridge from cigarettes to e-cigs.

I got my first kayfun about 2 months after that iTaste vv3+T3S, and then I put all the T3S tanks into the drawer, and those have never been used again.

...ahh, Kayfun. I have my eye that one too. The only time that I pulled out my e-go and cartos, since getting the Aspire Mini, was when my wife and I flew to Mexico on vacation. I didn't know how airport security would respond to e-liquids and I knew that I wanted something to vape, in designated smoking areas :( , while enroute.

The Kayfun is the one that made me stop scoping out every new clearo that hit the market; I also got a Smok RSBT along the way, and that one made me go back to the kayfuns and stop worrying about every new RTA that hit the market. I thought the RSBT might be a better alternative than the Kayfun quartz kit, but I don't like it at all; don't like the vape, it's too airy even at smallest airhole setting; building it is a huge PITA, it's a lot like the T3S's in either leaking or dry hits; and it's even hard to re-assemble, the top cap has to hit both the threads and the o-ring just right. So it's in the drawer with the T3S's, and I stick to juice that doesn't require glass. :D

The only thing I've tried that vapes anywhere near as well as a kayfun is my magma, but it's so leaky and has to remain upright at all times, it's strictly for home use. Looking foward to trying out a Veritas; I hear it doesn't leak as much.

Went back and forth between tobacco and the store bought cigalikes for about a year. Got a Sigelei Zmax in May 2014 and was happy. Even bought a dripper and started rolling my own coils, all above 1.2 ohms. Then, out of luck, I won a Neptune Hybrid from a Beyond Vapes contest and tasted the forbidden fruit that is sub-ohm.

What followed was a 30W regulated box mod and half dozen mech tube mods. I just seemed to like the mechs best. A couple of months ago I got the first of three Reo mods and now feel I can do no better. Best of the dripping that I enjoy without the hassle of actually dripping.

Three Reos and seven BF attys, probably all I will need for a long time. Vape budget is now reduce to purchasing a couple hundred mls of juice a month.

It took me exactly 2 weeks to upgrade. I started with an EVOD2 kit but it wasn't keeping me off the cigs. 2 weeks later I upgraded to an SX Mini with a Lemo & that did the trick. I've since picked up a Subtank, Subtank Mini, Big Dripper, Big Block, Freak Show, & Mutation X V2. I am finally free of the cigs & having a great vaping experience so I am quite happy with the upgrades... :vapor:

Is your Kayfun a clone or the real deal? I'm asking because I'm seriously thinking of forking out the $200 plus Canadian on an authentic unit, but I've heard so many good things about the quality and performance of the Infinite Kayfun V4 clone ($26.00). I want to experience the flavour and quality of the original, but if the clone is equal to the task, I feel a bit foolish spending the extra money.

Our ego kits lasted about a month, actually after I got my first bad coil I began to look into how this could taste so bad. I began DIY then rebuilding those top coil clearos and came across protanks so bought some of them and vaped them for eons and just within the last few months I have gotten kayfuns and just my wife uses the protanks now. As for PV's I have all kinds so I can say my upgrade was getting a IPV2 and a Istick50 but my wife only PV she bought was her pink provari and still using it as her 24/7 mod for the last 2 years

I started vaping with an Evod 2 and Innokin VV 3. Upgraded to an Aerotank after a month. Then about a month later the battery wasn't doing it for me, so I got 2 Vision Spinners. After another month those weren't cutting it so I got an MVP 2. Then I decided I wanted a whole new experience, so within the last 2-3 weeks I've gotten 2 subtanks, an iStick 50 and an MVP 3. I feel I am set for a while!

I started Vaping in July 2013 with the V2's. They actually got me off cigs. About 2 months later I got a Provari. It was much better but I still wasn't getting the flavor I wanted. After a month with the Provari I found REO's bottom feeders. This was about Oct/Nov 2013 and the REO is all I use to this day. Now it's all about chasing more bottom feed atty's.

I used a Blu out of laziness in Dec 2013 - was traveling and didn't want to leave my hotel room to smoke in the cold. Used it sparingly and smoked for awhile. Bought an eGo and cheap clearo - still smoked. I didn't truly quit until I bought an iStick 20w and Kanger GeniTank Mega. From there I went through different tanks and juices. Then I got an iStick 30w, Subtank M, an rda, a Subtank N, and 2 more RDAs. Now, I'm looking into Mech Mods before buying a Reo. Will see where I go from here. lol

Jan 14ish 2015-bought an ego-style starter kit

Jan 23- bought an itaste vv3 and protank mini 3. I did get a back up and had no plans to upgrade, since my focus right now is quitting smoking, not a hobby.

Feb 28-received my FREE istick 20w/nautilus mini that I won on a contest right here on ECF!!!!

I'm staying put until something dies :) But I love reading about all the shiny stuff around here!

Been upgrading since the first week I started Vaping. Those old 403 cig-a-like batteries and cartridges were just horrible.Moved to 510s, Egos, a few regulated tubes with all sorts of Clearos, cartos, Tankds and RDA's
Picked up 4 new Regulated mods last month.

I really need to just stop buying and start enjoying. :D

Started using ecigs in 2012. cig-alikes and 900 mah larger style with old school carts and clearos. Used those on and off for a solid year then went back to analogs. Started researching ecigs again about a month ago and realized so much has changed and advanced. Happy to say I'm back into vaping and off analog cigs after purchasing an iStick 30 and Aspire CF VV with 2 Nautilus Minis and a Protank 3

Listen, that guy was just trying to sell you a new setup. Because it's his job. Your setup is fine, and if it works for you, stick with it. Buy something if you want, but there is no need to upgrade at any time or on any certain schedule.

I think you took my thread the wrong way. I'm not saying I want to upgrade now because they asked me some questions, I'm just wondering how long it took you guys to upgrade and for what reason you guys upgraded. I'm not saying that I'm going to upgrade now because people are asking if I'm still using the same set up. Right now I'm just going to keep going until something breaks or if I feel like I want something more :vapor:

Hey sorry if there's a thread for this already but I was just wondering when you guys first bought your good set up, how long did it take you to decide that you wanted to upgrade? I started in the end of December of last year and the last two times when I went to the local shop by me that I go to all the time to pick up some things, the first time the worker there asked me what I was using and I told him my 20 w istick with a nautilus mini and then he told me that I should upgrade. I asked him some suggestions and told him that I don't understand anything about building my own and he tells me that they would take care of everything for me and explain things if I needed help. I then thanked him and left.

Tonight I went back to pick up some juices and I saw the guy who first helped me buy my vape at their place and he asked me if I was still using the same set up. I told him that ya I was still using the same thing. I'm just wondering if it took you guys a while to upgrade or did you guys want to upgrade after a couple of months?

Well there was the cigalikes, then the ego batts, then the clearotanks; I was on protanks for a year; had 4 originally, they eventually all broke, all in the same place - the junction between the glass and the steel;; and by that time I got my first rebuildable;

the upgrade from ego batts to a vamo and a zmax happened shortly after I saw one of my ego batts vent out and I could do nothing but drop it on the floor and watch.... somewhere inside that thing was a battery and I couldn't just open it and take the battery out; so I must've used ego batts for about 4 to 6 months before I upgraded to vw replaceable battery mods.
