I've seen all sorts of different claims, including some that are obviously absurd. So, I was wondering what real user opinions were of how long carts lasted (in comparison to packs of analogs)?

I realize it will vary from model to model (a 901/mini will hold different amount than a super mini, etc). So, I guess a better question would be how long do 901 carts compare, super mini carts, etc?

Best I can figure, carts for a 901/mini are roughly equivalent to 2/3 of a pack of analogs, but no clue if that's correct or not.

It also depends on the strength of the liquid in the cart and on you - how much you vape. I do not think you can reliably say how long carts last. It is way better to buy e-liquid and just measure how much you use in a month or more. For example 30 ml of 16 mg (high) e-liguid per month means you vaped the equivalent of 20 light analog cigarettes per day.

Frankie is right about the nicotine but here's a general idea for puffs:

Super Minis (RN4081, RN4088, DSE103, etc...): About 1-3 cigs worth (20-30 puffs)
Mini (DSE901, etc...): 5-6 cigs worth (50-75 puffs depending on how you puff)
Pen (DSE801, RN4072, etc...): 7-10 cigs worth (up to about 100 puffs)
eCigar: 10-12 cigs worth (up to about 120-130 puffs)
Pipe (DSE601, etc...) At least 14-15 cigs worth.

I must be doing something wrong, LOL, as I don't get that many puffs out of one cart which I've filled, and even less with a pre-filled one. Or might it be that I take long puffs so it reduces the final count? Feels more like 2-3 cigs to me. So I'm constantly refilling. Sometimes I even only take 2 or 3 puffs and the cart already feels like it's drying up - I check it and, sure enough, it seems almost empty

I think it varies a lot Starlight. If you have a very efficient atomiser it might be thirsty all the time. Maybe the eliquid you are using isn't viscous enough and it's just draining away (this sometimes happens with Johnson Creek eliquid). I can't think of any more suggestions at the moment, I usually drip, the cartridges are too much hassle for me.

I feel like I get way less than 6 cigs from my mini carts and so I usually drip as well. Even doing that, though, 2 drops feels like less than a regular cigarette (although with not definite "stop" point it is hard to tell).

I had another question about dripping, though. Most people say to use the mouthpiece when you drip but I'm not fond of the feel of the mouthpiece. Is there anything wrong with dripping and then putting your mouth directly on the atomizer (for the DSE-901, where there's a large space between the steel wool and the end)?

Thanks,
Michael
