how long will a cartomizer work when its always wett inside a tank? assuming you never let it run dry, does that mean the filling doesnt get worn out as fast? or will it typically last 3-5 refills before the coil is no good like in regular dripfill/condom filling?

like the DCT ones for instance im referring too, unless theres a better one out there?

I run 22 - 24 ml through a standard length carto (801 fusion 2.5 ohm) between changes, about the same as I got before a tank, just that there is far less fiddling during the day. If you were good about keeping normal cartos topped off, you can probably expect the same kind of run time as before using a tank, if maybe you let the cartos get a bit dry you might see improvement.

For me the lifespan of a carto in a tank varies a bit depending on both the carto and the juice. Some dark, sweet juices will kill/clog a carto faster than a clearer juice, but on average I seem to be able to run 4-5 5ml tanks through a carto before needing to swap it out for a fresh carto.
Also, I can generally clean a carto 1-2 times before it's completely dead & hits the trash bin.

Most folks will see their cartos lasting longer in a tank. Again, it's all about the juice. If you're vaping a "carto clogging" juice, a tank won't help. IMHO, using your carto in a tank will provide the longest lasting experience for your carto. That's why everyone experiences in the longevity of their cartos is different. I agree on the no muss, no fuss factor, very important to me. :)
