I hear ya dude. Sometimes I need a break to. Although my last break from the outside was kind of by force LOL.

Too many people in there (I swear) live for their next post. I got tired of it.

...sorry - don't mean to derail this thread - Uba - I'll PM you.

...back to the regulary scheduled program....

I've been wondering the same thing.

I'm new at this, only been vaping since June 22nd. I got a Kgo and some dual coil cartos right around July 3rd, and have been using the same cartomizer ever since. I refill it at least once a day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day.

I started using a clear dual coil a little over a week ago, and switch between the 2 throughout the day. I refill it at the same rate, at least once a day, and sometimes 2 or 3 times.

I'm using V4L WOW 555 only in them. The clear one is getting pretty dark brown, but still works fine and tastes just as good.

I honestly had no idea how long they'd last, but from the sounds of it, they're doing great. I'll keep using them until they quit, but since I've never had one quit on me, I guess it'll be the lack of flavor and/or vapor that'll clue me in. :p

I'm curious, have you completely quit analogs? The reason I ask is I am completely off have analogs and have been since late 2009. However, I am nowa chain vaper. I fill my cart a countless number of times per day. Once or twice wouldn't last me an hour.

I'll throw in. First off, money is kinda tight with gettin' little one ready for the big "K". School shopping.... anyways...

I've been literally wringing the last bit of life out of my very last Boge 2.8 carto on a Riva SE (3.7v more or less) for 13 days now. Working with mostly clear 80/20 juice because it's my last carto until *hopefully* the new clearos and ego MegaDCC show up in the mail from madvapes tomorrow.

days 1-3 worked like a gem, topping off almost as much as a dripper, slowly losing capacity

days 4-6 harder draw, luckily I had 2.8 so I could take LONG draws to compensate

- blew out the "black ick" that was building up inside and at the batt end of the 510 connection

days 6-9 almost the same as 4-6, would work, but less and less satisfying

- took a piece of paper and rolled up, used to clean the airspace between the 510 "side holes" and the main stem
- lots of 'black ick' got pushed out the side holes, made the draw almost as good as day #4

days 9-13 kept checking the side holes, a blow out here and there, still *functioning* but not best quality, taste is suffering

So that's what *can* be done if you are desperate... I really want to retire this thing!

I've completely quit analogs, my last cig was on July 6th.

I refill the 2 carto's between 1 and 3 times (each) a day, which comes out to anywhere between 2 and 6 refills a day, and also trade on and off with several G4's and a CE2. Yea, I chain vape too.

My dual coils are my go-to when I leave the house since both the G4 and CE2's tend to leak.

Well I haven't had time today to try the cleaning kit... however...

I got my tank today...connected it...primed the atomizer with some TV Geoff's Blend (I didn't want to start my first tank experience with an 'untested' liquid), filled the tank about 2/3 of the way up...and all I can say is wow! It really is great! I don't know how this will affect the life span of the cartomizer but considering that it keeps the cart wet the entire time, I hope it'll last longer. Geoff's Blend, as much as I love, lasts about two days tops with a Boge cart. This tank has a slotted Boge LR cart, we'll see how it holds up. I'll keep everyone posted on this and how the cleaning turned out. Stay tuned...!

Update:

The tank mod with a Boge LR is great on my SB... Geoff's Blend is great as well... and since the tank keeps the cart wet at all times, I'm sure it will help the longevity of cart performance...however, the center hole in the cart still clogs regardless. It starts feeling hard to draw on, and when I push the guitar string through the center hole, black gooey stuff ends up on the guitar string, and I can draw on the cart again. I am almost certain that this issue is now a liquid issue, that different liquids cause carts to clog faster, regardless of whether it's in a tank or not. It seems that this happens on more strongly flavored liquids and liquids that have a lot of cake/butter/vanilla/chocolate flavoring. More later as my testing continues...

Ive been using my same 5 stainless, long, dcc since I started vaping (about two months). They are all still going strong. I rinsed them once. I use only tobacco flavors (BWB) 80/20. I DO top off at the point where it takes about 6 drops before leaking out of the bottom. wonder if your right and its the flavors.

I've tried the cleaning kit on a few old carts today, two dual coils and two Boges, and although it clears the old juice from the filler, it doesn't clear out the center hole which is pretty much the reason the cart is clogged. I think it was a waste of money, but I'll let everyone know for sure once the four carts have dried out and I've tested them.

My cartos were lasting about 3 days before the loss of flavor made me set it aside and fill a new one. I just bought a vv bottom feeder and put on a 3 day old carto, fed it and the new flavor taste is back! I know the boge cartos and cheap, but I'm always looking for ways to extend their life.

I think it also depends on what battery and method of feeding you use. I've noticed that bottom feeding tends to extend the life and some say that being able to crank up the voltage helps also. I'm really impressed with this new vv bottom feeder. I'm trying different older cartos and attys and it's giving a really great, consistant vape with all of them!

Need to ask if you condom fill your cartos befor using? Then when you get the flavor shift, you say you are only putting in 3 drops x 3?
When a boge carto reaches flavor shift it will flood & leak at 15 drops. 12 drops works perfect. After you drip the fluid into the carto, take several short draws without applying power to draw all the fluid into the matting. (until it stops gurgling)
The 3 ohm SR boge carto has been on my 5v pass through sinse 10 Jul. The 2 ohm LR Boge cartos last about 1.5 weeks on my 3.7v mod.
