How long do your microcoils last?

So I got into rebuilding microcoils about 2 months ago and I am going on a full 3 weeks with my latest coil swapping out the cotton every 2-3 days. Of course dry burning the coil between cotton swaps. So I guess what I'm trying to ask is what is the longest you've gotten out of a coil that you have built?

Meeeh, a coil will last about a month. I usually change out of boredom, so who really knows? A wick? maybe a week or two?

This is all very encouraging to read. Once I get the build I'm looking for, I always set them aside, scrap the ones I don't like. I'm probably on about 2 weeks so far. And so good.

Started keeping a log of my builds. Wire, diameter, wraps, ohms. Easier to replicate since there is such a gap between builds sometimes

Typically a coil will last me a couple of months, changing cotton wick every 2-3 days with a clean and dry burn.

This is like the question of how many licks to get to the center of a tootsie pop. No one really knows because they get bored with their coil and rip it out when it still works.

mine last a really long time, probably change my wicks every two weeks or so as well.

I get about 4-5 days out of mine before it just starts to taste like junk right after a dryburn/re-cottoning..

I do a 5-6 wrap on a 3/32drillbit using 26 gauge..

I HAVE to re-cotton/clean daily and I dont even vape as much as I see some people...

EDIT: I do dry burn before I re-wick...I also tried cleaning with iso alcohol as well with no luck. I get about 4 cycles out of this before it starts to taste crappy.. I buy wire by the foot from my local shop so I really would to get the most out of my coils.. I just cant

Mine are made on a 5/64 drill bit. using 28. I Use mine almost every day at work, so its get about 20 minutes of use a day. Maybe im lucky but I dont find myself recoiling and rewicking very often. I use peaches and cremem yarn instead of puff balls.

Had one in from September to January started gunking up and I was getting an inconsistent vape 1/16 bit 28 gauge kanthal 10 wrap 1.0 ohm built 2 in January

I have one starting week 7 now and the other is on week 5.

I've never had a microcoil go bad. Most of the time I change them after ~2 months. Most often, because I forgot to rewick and can't get the gunked up wick out of the coil without wrecking the coil.

Pull the wick.
Dry burn.
Scrap a bit with a pick.
New wick in.
Good to go.

The dry burn is the key for me. I do that every day or two. If I get it before the whole thing gunks up too much, I can reuse the cotton wick too.

on my kanger heads i do them each week. i can never get the cotton out with out destroying the coil. the kayfun and rda's just when i feel like it. those will last forever. just change the wick and dry burn.

I generally get at least 4 weeks from a single micro-coil; or is 1.2mm small enough to qualify for a 'nano-coil'? Nevermind.

That said, I don't ever use one for anywhere near that long - I re-coil every week or so, just to keep things fresh: once you've got the hang of your wrap, it takes only a little time: 5 minutes by my last count, for me.

Depends.
My drippers seem to last forever but I don't use them constantly. My gennies of which 2 may be small enough to qualify as a micro and they're all wrapped like a micro last about a month with constant use. I use ribbon.
