There's a big pile of "it depends" when it comes to how long a Kanger coil lasts before it needs cleaning or replacing.

Darker or sweet flavored liquids will muck up a coil faster than lighter liquids with less sweetener.

Using them at higher voltages will contribute to the coil getting gunked up faster.

You will know when it's time for a change because two things will happen:

Your vape will start tasting harsh or burnt as crud accumulates on the coil and wick. With time you are burning that crud when you fire the coil and producing vape at the same time.

Your vapor production will go down as the coil and wick get mucked up. New liquid can't get to the coil with a layer of crud built up on it.

The coils can be cleaned until/unless you eventually pop (break) the coil. If you aren't ready to tackle cleaning them yet just hold onto the used coils for now. For most people it's actually easier to clean a batch of them all at once.

I've been using my clearo now for,,,,,,ohhhhhhh close to two months,,,,,,,

still haven't changed the coil,,,,,,,,,and I vape a ton,,,,,,,,,close to 15ml a day (although it's clear light juice)

I do rinse and dry burn it every other day or so,,,,,,,,more often if I am vaping an extra lot.

don't know if I just got a fabulous coil or what  but I'm pretty happy with it!

I only have one that I think is dead. It floods when I use it (at least I think it is the same one.) When I looked at it under a magnifying lamp, there appears to be a slight scorched spot on one of the seals. Gonna give it one more shot and if it still leaks, I'll have to create "dunno what to do with this dead coil" box.

Which flavours other than the tobacco ones are light & less sweet? Sorry for the stupid questions. I have to order online without trying, so hence trying to get as much input as I can.

Also does VG or PG make a difference in coil life?

I'm not telling you that you should buy from them, but once Mt Baker's site comes back on, they have a visual gauge on every flavors description that indicates how dark and flavorful it is. People have told me some pretty good things about this company's juices in general, so they are next on my list to order from and try. If you have a supplier that you normally use you could go to Mt Baker's site and check out specific flavors and I assume (and we all know what we do when we assume) the equivalent flavor from your supplier would at least be similar.

TWO MONTHS??????? I change mine DAILY, 50/50, 18mg nic and about 8ml of juice a day. If you are getting 2 months, you obviously are using silica wick and are missing out on flavor and the big clouds. The only way I could get more than a day outta mine would be to vape it at 2volts and whats the point of that? Turn that puppy up! I'm running a PT2 with a 1.7ohm coil and 10watts with cotton. Works great the first day and the coil turns to garbage about halfway through the next day. I'm hoping my new KFL+ will be less of a pain. Now where is that slow mailman of mine??

With good care and cleaning and even an occasional rewicking a coil can last several weeks to over a year. I clean mine Mostly every 2-3 days or every flavor change with PGA and then a dry burn. I do this with clearos and rdas. I have one rda i use cotton in and I just remove cotton, dry burn and rewick.

it's hard to rebuild Iclear 30 coils,,,,,,,,,,so I just rinse, dry burn and continue using,,,,,,,,,,no problems with the clouds or the taste here,,,,,,

maybe later when I know more, I'll try rebuilding something :)

REalize y clearos are not my all day vape anymore. I MIGHT vape 1-2 mL through them on a day when I am driving alot. Protank and evods I have rebuilt with micro coils at about 1.7 ohms and cotton wick. One wicking will last me a week or more then I yank the wick out of the coil, dry burn, rinse, insert fresh cotton and vape on.

90% of the day I am vaping my REO + RM2 which is also set up with a microcoil + cotton wick. I end up changing out the wick every 4 bottles or so (24 mL) unless I am doing a radical flavor change.

I DIY so non of my juices are dark and I don't tend to use much sweetner.
