It's just a safety thing - the batteries CAN fail, the chargers CAN overcharge...so it's better to be there while it's charging just in case.

Just a couple key points on earlier questions:

I just set aside 2 batteries like yours that lasted about 9 months. They're not DEAD, but they don't hold a charge as long as they used to...
I still use clearomizers that are the first ones I got. You keep replacing the "coil" inside.
You'll want to buy a box of those - or start learning about "rebuilding" them with wire and wick.
The coils can last a few days, or a month - depends how much you vape, it even depends on the juice you use. It probably depends on what kind of a day the kid who put it together in China was having at the time.
I clean mine ever few tankfuls, but only with hot water - and they last a pretty long time. I have a BUNCH of different toppers though - I don't vape on just one all day, I rotate a few devices and juices!
how long do clearomizers last and where can i buy a bulk of atomizers?

For the price, eGos are decent batteries. There are lots of cheap knock offs to be found online. There are better batteries but I can't think of any that are as cheap as eGos.
are there any sites where they sell the legit ones?

That's the link I gave you above......

I like My Vapor Store as they sell the real Joyetech and Vision eGos but I don't know if they are the cheapest. For some reason I can't get to the Joyetech website right now to check which lists copycats and unauthorized sellers.

It really depends on the quality of the atomizer, tank, and mouthpiece, and battery. Just keep the connector clean (Where you screw on the atomizer) and the end of the charger. Make sure not to dry burn the atomizer and tank to much.
I thought dry burning was safe?
