I have two Provari 2.5 and a P3 Provari. The first one (the blue one) I purchased in August of 2012, my first year of vaping. It is still working great, although I rarely use it or any of my Provari's currently. My vaping preferences have changed in the last year and the Provari's don't have the power output and aren't able to fire sub-ohm coils like I like to use currently. But prior to that, a Provari was my all day, every day device for about 4 years. They have never been "babied" with kid gloves, and both 2.5's have survived several drops onto the driveway while getting out of my car.

It's my firm belief that there are not many mods available which are as dependable, reliable, or durable as a Provari. I know I will never get rid of mine simply because of the upcoming FDA regulations and vape apocalypse. I know that I'll always be able to depend upon my Provari's.

My love of the Provari inspired me to write the below blog:

Why Provari?
  • What is the Provari and why is it so popular? Includes some little known facts, and videos & links to ECF threads on why the Provari is loved by owners.
:vapor: Be sure to read the stories (links at the end of the above blog) of the survival stories that many Provari's have been through. BTW, the only incident of a Provari not surviving an accident was a confrontation with a lawn mower.

i just bought a second one @ $34.99 to stockpile and am wondering how many years I might expect them to last, assuming it's the device one uses most of the time.
I do not think you'll get meaningful data. Most people does not use single device all the time, so it is difficult to get reliable data on reliability from a vaper. For example, I have used Vamo for the first year of my vaping - the same Vamo all the time. No problems, still as new, now retired and could be useful when vapocalypse strike. But I would not insist that Vamo is highly reliable mod...

My first ProVari, a version 2.0, has been "rode hard and put away wet" for a good 4½ years. My next two oldest, both 2.5s, are still working like champions 3+ years after I bought them. BTW, each cost $180. At the time, I felt they were decent values, solely on the basis of their reputation for durability and reliability.

I'm very much a chain-vaper, so I'm really hard on any mod. For instance, I've run through four Vamos. In every case, the Vamo fire-button died within about four months.

The extreme reliability of ProVaris is such that I've put 20 of them in my vapemageddon stash.

BTW, for decades-long survivability, ProVape suggests putting a silica gel packet in each box. The electronics can be affected by moisture over the long term. I've gone them one better and put each box in a plastic baggie.

Just my experiences . . . YMMV.

My oldest Provari is a Mini, my New Year's present to myself in 2013. I had to do a little cleaning, but it's still going strong. I actually like the Minis better than the P3; the P3's controls are a little confusiing, though it's a very solid, reliable mod, like everything from ProVape. The prices on the 2.5 right now are ridiculously low. I have several in my stash.

My allotted lifespan is up in another 12 yrs. I have 16 different colored ProVari's 2.5 and a Radius. Half bought recently on the blem sale and the others for various gift occasions over 3 yrs. I use each and every one 'cause I dress in different colors every day. No storage for any of them. I'm more than covered AND can have fun coordinating my outfits. :)

My first P2.5 is about a year and a half old. The 15 watts is a fence that I run into a lot so I bought two radius'. I just rotate those each day. They are the exact same vape every time. Anyway, I picked up another P2.5 for the stash. My Vaporsharks, I guess, are on a vaca. I got tired of the cheapies with in-accurate power. I actually even tossed one after a couple of days. The blem P2.5 is a good deal.

I love the optimism. I see that some people have 10-15 Provaris... I expect my cheap mods will serve me at least for two years on average. You should expect at least 3 times better than that, about 6 years from each of Provaris. So 15 Provaris should be good for 90 years...

Somewhere out there
My oldest is very first totally mechanical Super T with 801 connection bought in 2009, still working with the remainder of my 801 atomizers. The company name was Super T Manufacturing than and later was changed to Provape.

My second Provari v2 from 2012 is still getting everyday use without any hiccups.

Also recently bought 2.5 from clearance because am pretty sure that they will withstand the time.

P.S.: almost forgot - have a 10440 mechanical version from 2010
I never heard of the super T, do you have a photo?

So no one has ever had a Provari die or sent one back for repair?
I had a very early Radius (likely the first one in Canada) and the battery guage was a bit wonky. Sent it back on Provape's dime and they fixed me up with a new one. Worked perfectly since.

I believe these are separate companies.

Urban legend says there have been a few ... I own quite a few Provi and have never had one stop working.

I have sent a couple back to ProVape to have the board re-glued ... however, they were all still functional when I sent them in.
