How long have you hardcore vapers been planning for the "Vapeocalypse"?

NN had the lowest TH and the cleanest taste among the four "premium" nics we ran a blind taste test on last summer. The test was largely motivated by me second-guessing what I was putting in my freezer. I understand that some people like a lot of TH and would find fresh NN or VT premium to be lacking in that respect. But I'm not in that camp, and especially for the purpose of a vapocalypse stash, my theory is to put the cleanest nic possible in the freezer, 'cause it's unlikely to get any better with age. ;)

I have enough hardware to last a lifetime, minus kanthal which will be available long past the Vapeocalypse. Liquid wise, I have about a liter and a half of nic stored.

My question for those of you who have been stockpiling. How old is your oldest nic and is it still any good?

Copy and paste from a previous post I made I January 2015 I am still using this nic today. :toast:

I have a freezer full. One can never have too much nic

6 or 7 months ago, I found a bottle in the freezer from 2010. Opened it and it tested 3 mg less than what I stored it at (did not have a test kit when I stored it. SO no idea. It may have been 3 mg under then as well) It is crystal clear and taste just fine.

I have a bottle that I was using when I found the 2010 bottle in the freezer. That nic is in a amber glass bottle. Cracked it open and it smells and tastes fine as well. It is 9 months old stored at room temp.

So VG for me as well.

Why is that?

No idea why some say cut the nic below 50 mg. I have some from 2010 that is 100 mg VG based and it is pretty much the same as the day I put it into the freezer. NO CLUE where this theory came from all I know is, my nic is fine.

I only vape NET (make my own), throat-hit is a requirement for me. I like the 100mg nic I get from MFS and at $50 a liter it was a bargain, I'd buy at least 2 liters at a time to get free shipping and have enough of it stored to last for decades. However, I enjoy the VT throat-hit nic just as much and at $25 a liter (buy 3 and get free shipping), my stockpile just grew considerably larger. $100 for a gallon of quality 100mg nic is a steal. My wife vapes fruit/bakery flavors and only likes NN (no throat hit), which costs $105 a liter and ships for free.

Hmmm.

I do have about 1/2 a litre of 50mg nic and a litre of 100ml nic in the freezer. I guess I will find out in a few years if they age differently. :)
