I've moved down in the last couple of years from 24mg nic to 6mg. I'm headed to 3mg just to up my chances of passing a nic test for insurance. If not, then I'll go to zero nic. I don't want to just because a little nic is good for the brain and an enhanced sense of well being.

I have several kayfun 3 and 4 RTA's and plenty of cotton, rayon, and 28ga wire. If I have to buy nic, PG, and VG they are all available through various channels. I'm in good shape for the crackdown.

I've been keenly aware of what is going on and watching the progress of FDA, State, County and City as it pertains to vaping. I bought over 100+ different prepared e-liquids after testing many at vape shops in my first month of vaping and wanted to go in to business as a distributor. That was 2015, and due to significant changes in the industry I can no longer plan on a future job related to vaping. Now my energy is going to preserving my hobby/lifestyle. Today I'm working on a dedicated vaping room for supplies and mixing.

I'll post pictures when I get everything assembled.

POST FROM YESTERDAY IS JUST THE BEGINNING
Going through a very lengthy list of vaping goods. Just accepted a job that starts in January and will be spending $5,000+ US in vape related goods. What am I getting?

- Dedicated mixing storage room for apartment (shelving already in place, awaiting freezer & lighting)
- Commercial, locking, floor, freezer, good down to -15F continuous
- 6 regulated box mods, 6 unregulated box mods, 4 cylindrical mech mods
- target of 5 gallons + of nicotine 100mg/ml, and some PG/VG
- hundreds of my favorite pre made e-liquids...gallons and gallons....
- 20 large packages of cotton (Cotton Bacon and Koh Gen Do)
- hundreds of feet of coil wire in many different awg
- at least 5 to 10 - lab testing kits
- at least 10 mixing and storage bottles
- 10 LG 18650 and 10 26650 batteries

Too much to list for now. Will post pics when I get there...
Why 5 gallons of nic? Even at 10

Why so much nic? 5 gallons is enough nic to make over 150l of juice @ 12mg and over 300l @ 6mg. 100-150 year supply for me and that is likely high as I am basing that on vaping 10ml at 6mg a day (I am less than that).

Also, why stock up on PG/VG, cotton, wire, flavours and batteries? All of these items will be readily available even if the Govt makes vaping a felony.

Just curious. :)

It's clear that the FDA is protecting big tobacco and the tobacco settlement payments that they provide to the states. Ecigs sold by BT will be protected under the current legislation. How can that be fair to the public? They claim that there's no way to discover what's in ecig juice. They were able to verify big tobacco's product. Why can't they subject smaller vendors to a standardized test that doesn't break the bank for those businesses?

The FDA has created an unlevel playing field, IMO.

A young person, or someone mixing for more people that just themselves?

Your 60mg a day of nic consumption isn't particularly high. I go through 1.5x that much. If I plan for 30 years, I need 2-1/2 to 3 gallons just for myself.

Just stock up on a hand full of mechs and liq nicotine along with some rda's/whatever you use and you'll be fine.

Vg and pg will always be accessible along with wire and batteries /chargers and flavoring.

All you need to do is get down the correct DOY mixture for your fav flavors and your good to go!

I bought out a tobacco shops supply of fruit flavored 6 mg nic eliquid about 6 years ago. I had been buying cigarettes there for years and had just started vaping. I knew the owner, he was going out of business and he offered it all to me for 10 bottles for a dollar so I bough it all. I had over 500 30 ml bottles then. I have a couple hundred left and they still taste fine to me. Stored in a cardboard box still in the plastic bottles under my bed. Some of these bottles were probably a year old when I bought them.

Any fellow preppers out there know if frozen nic base stays mixed or do you need to stir/shake it before you're ready to dilute? Trying to conserve freezer space and not eager to have a million little bottles to get a size I'd be comfortable thawing in order to easily shake.

It won't freeze solid in a standard home freezer (you have to get it way colder than that for it to turn solid). Although allowing it to come up to a reasonable temperature before opening is a good idea to avoid water condensation.

The base, as far as I've ever noted, stays mixed. But I still shake it just to be sure. I keep larger bottles in the freezer and a 120 ml bottle in the fridge with the stuff that's currently in use. So far I've had absolutely no problems.

I'm 55 and I plan on doing this until the day I pass. If I get involved with someone and they move in and they vape, then they will get part of the stored products.

When I get to the 5yr mark, if markets are still available and the price is right, I'll sell what I have as long as the transfer is legal and replace it with fresh new nic.

I don't plan on looking for retailers 35 miles from home, or having anything confiscated from Fed, State, County, City, etc. I've ordered 3 times from China, and in ea case, the boxes were opened and inspected. By the middle of 2016, 100% of the vape shops in Chicago should be closed due to new taxes. Reality is that the reality on the ground is different for everyone. Some live in very respectable locations, and in others the hammer has already come down. Fend for yourself.

...

No "Ebola Suits" here, but I do own a box of 100- N95 masks. If for some reason there is an epidemic, they'll do just fine.

Nothing like being prepared.

    (4) 120ml bottles (which hold 125ml) fit into a USPS small flat rate box.
Makes it easier to stack in the freezer, and gives some more protection.

It has been my experience that bottles need an air space to benefit from shaking, yet we don’t want air in the stored juice.

I've asked that question myself and got answers all over the shop. We are all guessing really.

Someone suggested sticking a large bottle in an ultrasonic cleaner with warm water. They said the vibration plus convection would mix it up just fine, so that's what I do. I have no idea whether it even needs doing.

On the other hand, from what I've heard here most people don't bother mixing it at all. If it does separate out and you get a puddle of pure nic on the top or the bottom we would have heard horror stories by now. Most people reckon if there is any separation it's very limited.

I guess it's always possible to test it. Never done that but apparently it's not hard to do.
