I response from this forum has been amazing.

Quick update on how this is going...

This morning I jumped int he truck to head to work. Pack of smokes sitting right in the center console. I looked at those little ba$tards and told them "not today". So far I have been vaping at my desk quite a bit. Started my drive at 7am this morning, it's now 11am and I've gone through about half a tank (0.5ml). Not feeling a craving for a cigarette at all yet.

I honestly believe I wasn't vaping enough. I'm going to hold off on ordering the 24mg nic for now and see how this goes. So far so good!

Mine lasts about 16 hours. The other eight are mostly for sleep, with a couple of quick vape periods during bathroom breaks. (Hey, you try sleeping thru the night at my age!)

:vapor:Hey, I resemble that remark. I know just how you feel. I vape all day whenever the urge strikes me. I am finding it hard to respond to these posts using one hand. I go through about 4 to 6 ML a day, although it has been more at times.:vapor:

When I'm at work I have to vape like I used to smoke cigs. A few short sessions. When not at work, I don't have sessions, I just pick it up every few minutes and have a couple hits.

But nowhere near the volume others are claiming. The OP wanted to know how long our vaping "sessions" are. Not who vapes the most volume daily. It's not a contest folks. I personally suspect many, perhaps even most of the heavy use posters are greatly exaggerating their volume claims. It's almost exclusively guy's saying they vape 15mls and more daily. I'm not buying it. I'm guessing they think it makes them sound cool, or it's some "macho" thing! Not that I care one way or the other. But I've known many more women that chain smoked than I have guys. Yet we're not seeing women bragging about how much they vape.

best regards, larry mac

p.s., darn, forget the above. I just realized I vape about 30 mls a day. Of course it's not hard to do when you're using 30-40 watts, not 8-9 like you .....'s, or my sister! lol.

I haven't had an analog in about 3 months. When I first started vaping I still smoked analogs but every day it was less and less. Finally one day I did not buy a pack and from there I haven't smoked an analog. I started out at 24mg nictoine and now I am down to 6/8 mg nicotine. I vape constantly at 6/8 mg since I am allowed to in the office. I think I will be staying on 6mg for a while so during that time set restrictions up on how many times an hour I can vape.

I've honestly found myself going through upwards of 15mL in a day. But those are the days that I'm using my dripper with the permanent quad coil lol so it goes through juice no problem. When I have my kayfun on for the day I fill it up to twice a day and that's a 4.5mL tank. It really matters what setup you're using and how often you use it.

I only vaped about half a mL a day, too, starting out (I'm still smoking analogs, although much less than I was years ago)... so it's not that weird and I don't think you are doing something wrong there, necessarily. When I've used clearomizers I actually often feel like I'm wasting juice, so I tend to stick with cartomizers now.

If you really want to quit real cigarettes, you might want to try Whole Tobacco Alkaloid, from a company called Aroma E Juice. Their juice is excellent. Whole tobacco alkaloid may alter the effect somewhat, but what I really notice is the flavor actually tastes like tobacco, whereas many juices are only suggestive of it. Their G.I. Joe is great stuff and it has a lot of body to it and is satisfying in a way that, for instance, Dekang's Marlboro clone is not (to me it tastes like tobacco candy).

Not sure they use the same thing, but I found the same type of experience with PSV's Swagger flavor. In your face and smooth as the day is long, like a slow roasted caramel...

my usage mostly depends on one factor: am i holding the vape in my hand between puffs?

if i set it down ill usually forget to use it for like half an hour...maybe more maybe less

Good question and it made me really examine my vaping times. I had not given this a thought - I just 'vaped' or so I imagine.

The "in the hand" is my next "habit" to break. I vape like heck from 0500 to 1100 with my .... planted at the computer which is yet another "bad habit" to break. I do have one T3S that is loaded with 3.6% and I use it when I first get up. I use it a LOT in that first 30 to 60 minutes; I WANT that 'kick in the head' like cigarettes gave me. Then - after the first 30-60 minutes I switch to 1.8% and the day is set.

The rest of the 'day' if I don't have it "in my hand" I can go three hours or more and not think of it - UNLESS I get in a stress situation OR one where I am trying to figure out an issue of some sort. I always "chain smoked" when trying to work through an issue. I do find myself going and grabbing my setup when this happens and I'll go non-stop or until the issue is resolved.

EVENING HOURS: After dinner 1800 to 1900 - I always went to the garage and smoked at least two cigarettes. Then back in the house and the 'TV' viewing began. I did not smoke unless I needed to "get out of the chair"; yet, I DO find myself vaping perhaps as much as 5 - 10 minutes at a time and usually three times while the 'TV' viewing. It is that "in my hand" thing again.

OVERALL: More vaping before noon. Noon to 'TV Time' it is either very little OR a LOT depending on the circumstances mentioned above. I also find I DO NOT enjoy it while watching 'TV' - perhaps because I only took "garage breaks" with the cigarettes. I would be content to NOT VAPE while the 'TV' is blaring away with nonsense - and may try just avoiding it as the 'urge' comes to me.

Being a 'new guy' I still have many 'cigarette moments' where I have the thought about "going to the garage" for a REAL cigarette. The moments pass and I am OK - much like when I was 'on' cigarettes and never gave them a second thought - but when I DID - I smoked two at a time (in a row - not fired-up "at a time". :)

When I was still "in the Navy" - it was always a stress breaker to smoke. I also ENJOYED the darn things and in a group of guys who were just waiting to go 'do our job' and blow-up someone / something the cigarette was like foreplay. Still after-discharge I seldom smoked as many times as I now vape - especially the mornings. I don't LIKE vaping nearly as much as I did a cigarette - BUT if it keeps me away from the real-deal I would have NO problem if it was "in my hand" all day long.

Too many words to answer such a simple question.
