How Long Shoud it Take to Charge Battery

I had a faulty charger, and my batteries wouldn't charge. The light wouldn't turn red, but stayed green. I got the new charger today. I plugged it in, light turned red, and I thought Hurray! It is now almost four hours later, and the light is still red. I'm afraid to check it, in case I screw up the charge. Is it normal to take this long?

Yes. Of course, it depends on the energy source and mah of the batteries, but most of mine take 4 - 6 hours when plugged into a usb2 port. You'll see green very soon if you haven't by now.

USB chargers take longer than wall chargers, and of course it depends on the battery capacity and state of charge. Without knowing what kind of battery you have it is hard to give a good answer, so for now i'll just say leave it on the charger for a while longer and see what happens.

It's a 1300 maH Hello 016 charger...almost 5 hours now. I expect it's fine...I'm just getting so frustrated with "not knowing" what's normal. Charger failed last week after I was six days off analogues. Back to analogues while I waited for new charger. I hope everything goes well this time....

yes a 1300 mah battery on a usb port is going to take a fairly long time to charge. hang in there it may be another hour or two.

Done! I'm such an idiot...I could hear the muffled sound of a phone ringing. I checked all the phones to see what was going on. I assume that this thing alarms when it's finished!
