If the juice were just immediately mixed, you would keep the mix in open air in a cool dry "cabinet" for 24 hours. Then wait 2 days for a single ingredient mix, or 4-5 days for a compound flavor mix (minimum). Since the juice is previously made, you may not know if the juice was steeped open air or not, and don't know how old the closed bottle may be. The juice may be fine and you can test it for taste/flavor. If it still has a chemical taste, then 24 hours open and 24 closed may be all it needs. Remember to mix/shake the juice at least once a day for at least 30 seconds. Juice is like fine wine, the more time we take, the better the conditions, the better we treat it, the better it becomes. Use the old taste buds to determine when and if the mix is right. Trial and error, following a few simple guidelines, will be your best teacher. I make juices a minimum of one to two weeks out. Some complex juices with 5 or more ingredients can take more than f2 weeks for the flavor bonds and the subtle flavors to be realized. Practice makes perfect.

I'm letting mine steep forever. HAHAH.
No, actually it wasnt' that bad, I just realized i just couldn't stomach vaping root beer for more than a couple puffs.
I did want to mention - that is the ONE juice I've ever vaped that stunk up the room!
Now that I think about it, mine was "root beer float" - but it just tasted like root beer...

Personal preference. I try just about everything out of the box and see if I like it. If not (Too perfumy, chemically, etc,) then it steeps about a week at a time, try it again, hope it changes for the better... most I like right out of the mail so I vape it.

Agree with DasFreak ^^^^. After a while you know which are more likely to improve for you. Rootbeer is one that IMO might benefit from steeping. Also tobacco flavors. I make my own juice now and almost never steep it. I mix for immediate use and that works for me. YMMV on that though.

Got a 15ml of 36mg root beer from mbv today. How long should it steep before I start vaping it?

this is one of my favorite flavors from MBV. i get my stuff next day from cuz i live in WA. i found with the RB that it starts to taste pretty good after about 3 days. if it isn't your main vape, just leave the bottle in the cupboard and just take it out to fill your tank. i vape their dulche de leche more than this, but it is a great palate cleanser for me. if you are going to use it as a main vape, get a bigger bottle with a couple of extra shots. (and i only vape this in a glass tank.)

the few few times you try it, it will taste like root beer barrel candies. after a few more days, just root beer! i got mine as a freebie, next order i'm getting 30 or 50 mls.

and vaporfrombaker will get you 10% off.

lol yea I got the two cards with the order... I actually wanted the 24mg but they couldn't change it. I'll let it steep for about 4-5 days before I dive in.

You may already know this, but make sure you don't put MBV's Root Beer in a plastic tank. It's on their "Tank Cracker" list:

I have a plastic tank now but getting a glass on Friday. So it'll be perfect timing!

MBV juices are mixed just prior to shipping.

Simple flavors still need a few days of rest before they taste right.

Their tobacco flavors can take weeks before they start to resemble what you expected, and even then you might be surprised. I'm pulling away on a tankful of their 555 that I ordered last month and it's become awesome. Three weeks ago, I couldn't stand it.

When I d try an MBV, it goes on the steeping shelf for 10 days unless it's tobacco, then it has to sit a month before I will even try a drip of it. Learned the hard way, some really great ones from them are terrible - about as good as vaping a skunk might be, at first, but are amazing after steeping a while.

It was too strong. I'm thinking of holding a contest or selling it.

Whoa!!! Hold on there... you only had the stuff a couple days, now the steeping experiment commences. Put it aside for a while and see what happens in a week, 2 weeks, a month. When steeping, some flavors "Develop", others mellow out over time. The strength of the nic is quite high so get your hands on some VG and "cut" some in with it if the flavors don't mellow out (in a separate bottle of course) and see what happens. Perhaps you have some juices laying around that will blend beautifully with it such as something Vanilla-y? You never know. Experiment a bit first before off loading it... Just my opinion.

Bill Beck did a good, detailed post so I'm just going to toss in a minor personal opinion.

I rarely bother.

I shake the bottle like I'm having some kind of seizure but rarely "steep" MBV. I've tried it both ways and can't tell much difference. This is, I'm sure, just something about me. Or I'm not paying attention. Also, I am not a patient man. :)

I'll try an MBV soon as I feel like (after shaking well). If it seems not so great, I set aside and let it steep. Root beer? Nah. I shake well and vape.

It's a highly personal, subjective thing "taste". Try it soon as you want. If it seems "off", Bill's guidelines are great. If that doesn't seem to work, don't toss it. First thing I learned here from the more experienced vapers is never just toss a juice. Sometimes longer term steeping can make a big difference. Or maybe your tastes change over time. Hard to say. I have one, though, I've had a real "on and off" thing going. Loved it, bought two big bottles. Came to absolutely hate it. Just suddenly could not stand it. At all. Set it aside and month (ish) later tried it again and liked it. Not loved it. But liked it.

No clue what that was about...

Ive got right now I think 45 different juices from MBV. I basically wanted to try them before I tried any other vendors of juices, that way, I wouldn't be influenced by the price difference/quality difference, because, well, Ive not tried anything else. Plus, if I DID like them, sheesh, 30ml is so damn cheap!

My experience with their juices has been overall good. Some of them, just ain't doin it for me. Some are middle of the road. Some are good. One or two are fantastic.

And basically thats the same with the steeping.

Butterscotch was epic out of the mailbox. Became, and still is, one of my most vaped juices right away. Only gets better with age.
RY4 smelled like straight balsamic vinegar out of the mail. Three weeks later, which is today, Im lovin it. Which is VERY surprising, because to be honest, I wasn't interested in tobacco vapes at all.

Cookie Blaster out of the mail smelled and tasted like burnt oreos and vomit. Three weeks later, it is a SPOT ON Oreo Milkshake.

Most all of the fruit flavors have been solid from day 1. I find its the more bakery type flavors/sweets that need some time usually. Ive got their Cinamon Roll steeping right now, going on 3 weeks.. Im hoping it morphs, because its got this wonderful cinbon thing going on, but the icing flavor is vomit inducing, I cant even vape it. Same with Yellow Cake. Both are good on inhale, but on exhale there is this sortof sour milk/cream cheese thing goin on.

    TL;DR Version
Some need steeping, some dont. Smell all the juices when you get them, try what smells good, steep what doesnt. Dont be surprised if you need to steep more then a couple weeks on one juice, but on another, its good ouf of the mailbox.
