This might have already been said... So this is just a possibility since analogs vary in nicotine but from what I read 1 analog is about 1.2 mg of nicotine so if you smoke 20 analogs a day you are getting a little over 24 mg per day. (remember this is just an estimate) if you are vaping 6 mg juice you would have to vape 4 ml to equal a pack ( also remember that there isn't 100% certainty that when you vape 6 mg that you are actually getting that much nicotine since it hasn't been studied how much nicotine you're body actually gets) cigarettes contain all those chemicals because they help get nicotine to your brain, faster, better, and stronger. Juice does not contain any of these chemicals. So if you want to get an estimate here it is.

This is my explanation to myself when I asked the same question.

Roughly one stinky contains 1 mg of nicotine. if you have 12 mg juice, that means there is 12 mg of nicotine per ml of juice. If you were to vape 1ml of juice that would be roughly equvilent to 12 stinkys. However, like everyone has said, there are many variables. So the answer is unknown. The obvious answer is you have smoked 0 stinkys because you are vaping not smoking. I understand the question, but there is no right answer with this. Everyone is different. Each of us had our own smoking techniques and everyone now has there own vaping techniques. Way too many variables.

I know what you are trying to ask, the truth is there is no real answer.

Firstly congrats on getting off the stinkies.

You analogs say 0.8mg nic and 1mg tar on the box, but by burning tobacco those numbers "go up considerably". From what I have read it depends on how hot you smoke you analogs. (Do you take a drag every minute or do you suck it down to the filter).

Ive been vaping for about 2 months now. I started on 24mg and now I find 18mg equally sufficient. When you start I suggest going for at least an 18mg. Dont really have to worry about overdoing it, you can feel when you have had enough and you can really tell when you have had slightly too much.

Happy vaping.

Only when I jam my pro-tank on to my front teeth - hurts like a son of a gun.

Sorry not to be flippant, but the short answer is more research is needed. I just know I feel it does me a lot less harm than cigarettes did.

I currently have a cracked tooth from a protant accident , and yes it does hurt. (Never vape a protank while driving down a road that is full of potholes, asking for trouble there)

It is very true what's been said above but I'm going to wade in with my :2c: (can we get an English option for that?!).

Even if you absorbed 20mg of nicotine (hypothetically) in smoking 20 cigarettes back when you smoked, and absorbed 2ml of 18mg juice now when vaping, don't stress out too much about this. Tobacco, as has been said above, contains so many other chemicals which get you more hooked, more quickly. You could still have major cravings as you come off the stinkies.

If you're getting a rapid heart rate, feeling dizzy or nauseous- let's just say that if you start to feel ill - then lower your nic level. Otherwise, enjoy not being on the stinkies and get used to that before worrying about dropping your nic too far and too fast.

As zapped said, lowering your nic level too quickly can be a total waste of time. I started on 24mg in the mornings, 18mg all day about six months ago and now I'm sticking at 8mg for a bit because I know I'll go loopy if I drop any quicker. I average (since Februrary first) 1.65ml juice a day.x

I'm probably being too simplistic but I think:
You hear people saying the used to smoke 1-2 pack a day out so but it is really different to smoke some unfiltered camels to some ultralights. I believe that due to the combustion all cigarettes are not that far away on damages. So this point regarding nicotine intake is not that relevant neither on analogs nor in vaping..
So the only parameter that I think is relevant here is the habit part, so I guess that an analog takes 6 minutes and the vaping equivalent would be about 15 minutes that's it just do the math but remember that it's not the same damage between an analog and a vaping session
My two cents

I used to smoke Marlboro Lights, just under a pack a day.

I calculate that if I smoked "about a pack" per day, the consumption of nicotine would equate to vaping about 2.5ml liquid per day - with 6mg/ml nicotine liquid.

By that calculation, if I used at 24mg/ml Nicotine and vaped 2.5ml per day, the nicotine content would be roughly equivalent to 4 packs of Marlboro Lights per day.

This is quite an astounding figure to me. However, I understand that the consumption of Nicotine when delivered through vaping is not anywhere near as toxic as it is when consumed through cigs.

So, vape on, I say. :thumb:

Thanks for all the info everyone. Although there wasn't a direct answer, the responses did help me understand everything a lot more.

I guess I'll put this question aside and just enjoy the vaping :D

But there were Direct answers.... just not of the variety you expected.

That's the first thing new vapers need to learn... it's not smoking... and aside from the fact that lower end models are called e-Cigarettes they share almost nothing(aside from delivery of nicotine) in common as far as function, expereince or use that is comparable to smoking.

Have you ever asked how many cigarettes you are smoking when you:

Chew a piece of nicorette gum?
Or wear a patch for x number of hours?
Or eat bell peppers, potatoes, eggplant, tomatoes, caulifolower, etc. (yes all these foods contain nicotine)

I know... so obvious it's dumb.... but most people, when new, overlook the obvious... they'll think "vaping sucks, it makes me sick" or something... ;)

Oh heck no I wasnt giving up, and I figured thats what it was.
I will kick it back down to 12mg or go an buy and 8mg to tamper
it down since I bought two more bottles of what I liked.
I figured I needed that extra umph for now since I am fresh
off of analogs. Aint going back to those period
Thanks

Just remember, if you have questions... this forum has answers...

They may be, on occasion, snarky or a bit sarcastic... but they're answers :)
