i'm browsing quite a bit between e-cig sites these days,
and it seems there aren't really many brands that makes the liquid (originally). most of them are just rebranded, sometimes even refilled in different bottles.

it would be intersting to make a list with what is available, originally or/and rebranded.

these i came up so far:

wicked pillbox38
Johnson Creek
e-juice
e-cig liquid

Not sure what e-juice and e-cig liquid are, but JC make their own. Totally Wicked doesn't. Most retailers, as you say, just rebrand. I don't know how many actual producers there are in China (no-one really advertises the factory they buy it from, and if they're getting it through a middleman probably wouldn't even know.) Freesmoke also have theirs made by another producer in Spain.

So there are at least three producers, but I don't know exactly how many.

I suspect most of it comes from very few sources. Probably just a few manufacturers in China. If you are a big player, maybe ordering 10's or 100's of thousand dollars worth at a time, then I guess you have more buying power to get things made to your spec, with alterations in strength and flavour.

Clearly, Johnson Creek liquid is different to most others (in terms of its consistency, flavour and character) and I suspect it is cooked up elsewhere and not imported from one of the Chinese manufacturers.

We don't really know how it's cooked up, but JC do cook it up themselves.

Freesmoke have theirs made by a pharmacy.

That is something I would really like to know. Royal Smokers' website claims this:

Our liquid has undergone and passed toxicity testing by China's governmental safety officials.

Well, that certainly makes be feel secure. I haven't heard anything that would make me doubt the integrity of China's governmental safety officials.

:cough: melamine :cough:

It makes me want to stick with Johnson's Creek. I like their Chocolate Mint Madness. Cash's Minty Menthol mixed 50/50 with Milk Chocolate is better though. And I still want to try Janty's clove and rose. I just have my doubts about their long-term safety. Of course, I don't know where Johnson's Creek sources their raw materials either.

Royal Smokers' site also says this:

ALERT NOTE !!!!:

Do NOT MIX the E-liquid, use only like provided

That alarms me a bit as well

There are more than two manufacturers in China..Most mass produce and ship to all Chinese ecig manufacturers and Re-Sellers...

My fluid is made by a small concern that i found by accident, its price is 4 times what i would normally pay...But i believe fundametally it is as good and clean a fluid as can be found anywhere. I think JC are doing a great Job manufacturing their own, that is a first in this industry..

Bertrand, i believe there are 4 main manufacturers, beware of most menthols as the flavouring is supplied by a honk kong company..

If you remember the lab report i had done on the Menthol it showed Methlone was contained in it, i pulled these and spoke to the manufacturers. They imformed me that the menthol flavouring they used and all others used was from this particular Honk Kong Company..They were (and i believe) truly shocked, they now produce their own flavourings..Do others??I have no idea, they dont really need to as no one has had their fluids in particular their menthol tested.

Not scare mongering just pointing out my obsevations..

Bertrand i dont know market share. I do know as you probably do that most of the E.cig manufacturers and resellers in China buy there fluids in they arent made in house..

It would be interesting to get a full recipe and see how its made, i know we get given lists of ingredients , but exact quantities and the methodologys arent known..I certainly would not know how to find out...Thats why i believe JC has done a great job manufacturing in house, something i want to replicate in time...I need a good chemist:)
