I have seen 15 and I have seen 30+, so does anyone know exactly how much juice to refill a cart?

I went with 20 drops of 11mg Smilin Special after boiling and drying Cool Carts and some carts from V2, and they are running really hot and only last maybe a half the time of a pre-filled. This leads me to think I need more liquid in them. Am I right? Am I wrong? Anyone seem to have the perfect formula to do this?

THANKS!:vapor:

I fill mine at a 45 degree angle, I put in 7 drop at a time sometimes I get 20 and 25 to a carts, I keep adding till I see alittle on the paper towel I use under them when filling. But I have seen where some people use the syringe to. I thinking about going with that seems to work better they say to get the 3CC and 18 gauge needle with the 1.5,wow carts are different then the cool carts. Which ones do you have on the carts the wow or the cool ones

I put 30 drops in a cool cart and have never gotten less than 25. I just put 5 or so at a time and wait for those 5 to saturate the filler material. After that I drip 2 more on the other end where the cart connects to the battery and let it sit that end up for a few minutes. That is one a fresh blank though. For refills I usually only get 20 drops or so and I do not do the two drops when I refill.

I was thinking about grabbing one of my grandma's diabetic cat's insulin needles and trying the syringe thing. So 3cc on a cool cart?

What gauge are the needles? I have 29-gauge insulin needles from when I had a diabetic cat and they are too narrow for the e-liquid to get through.

I purchased 18-gauge syringes with 1.5 inch needles with a 3cc capacity at hocks (online) and they work great! One ml is one cc. A carto will take one full ml if it's a blank and a little less than that each time you refill it.

No, those Cartos are toast! More than likely if they are heating up you have burned a hole through the wick causing a hot spot scorch on the polyfill.....hence heating up. It also means that when you go to fill them after 8-10 drops, the liquid will enter into the wick flooding out the air tube.

If you have a couple of them, take a needle or a paper clip and work the polyfill out, I'll bet you instantly see a scorch mark half way up the polyfill. They can only get scorched if a hole has burned through the wick.

I did a vid on refilling, if you want it I'll post up a link.

To ensure that I don't overfill I go 20 droplets on a Wow Carto, 25 on a Premium Cool Carto. When I have a glass of water I don't fill it to the very top of the rim, same rationale goes for cartos....no mess.

Carts are supposed to come with 1ml when prefilled. A year ago, I did some tests on how many drops on average 1ml was, and it came out to approx 22-28 drops (depends on thickness of juice). I can easily get 35 drops into some cartos, but if you overfill a carto, you'll have some sluggish performance.

I use the drip in 20 drops, Taryn spin, drip in 5 more drops, another Taryn spin method. I've tried the condom fill method and found it too messy for my tastes. The syringe method also seemed to take more time & effort than the spin.

yeah, please post the video! I only used them once and I filled a bunch of them and all of them are doing it. Is it possible that I burnt all of them?

Well as I mentioned you can take one that is heating up quickly, hook out the polyfill and inspect it.

There is no audio, this is simply a visual demonstration.

If you happen to have a newer batch of Cool Cartos, perhaps with a blue atty wire, you may need to give it a taryn spin since these seems to have the polyfill too tightly wrapped preventing easy absorption.
