Somehow or other, I concluded 5 was the PERFECT number of batteries to have on hand. I'll occasionally forget to charge spent batteries and used to find myself in a frenzy keeping batteries charged. I laugh about it now but 5 just seemed to be the cure. Heck, I might add another just so I'll have it!

(One can NEVER have too many Provari batteries...!)

I have 6- 13350's for the mini, 10- 18490-500 and 3-18650's with one batterie shipment to stock up the 650's still out.

When ya live in the thunderstorm capitol of the world with frequent power outages ya got to be prepared.

this,,,,,,I swear, we lose power daily sometimes!

I also suggest a charger with a car charger,,,,,,,,,,then if your power is out for a long time, you can always charge in the car :)

One of the things you should keep in mind before going crazy with batteries is that they have a limited fife span. They start deteriorating the day they are made no matter what you do. If you are keeping fully charge they reach the end of their life even faster.
I generally buy two at a time and keep my older ones as backup. I also have a car adapter for my charger just in case.

we lost power last night at midnight and it was off for around 16 hours, i had a pretty dead battery in my provari and another that was dead sitting on my desk to charge this morning and when i found out power was off i was running around looking for what other device i had that was charged lol.

so manly was just wondering how many extra you all have, i only have 2 18650's atm but am thinking of getting 2 more just for trips or when things like this happen.

I have two V 2.5 ProVari full sized models. For them, I have (4) 18650 and (4) 18490 batteries. So in total, I have 6 extra batteries. I usually run my black ProVari in 18490 mode, and my satin in 18650 mode. I also have a generator that is more than capable of providing emergency power for my home. The extra batteries are more for me to have a bigger rotation of batteries. I think Baditude introduced me to the concept.

Plus, my Xtar VP-1 charger has a car adapter for emergencies. I love that charger!

Yep, have the extra batts for rotation. I run the military with the '490's and '650's, the stealth mini with the '350's and 490's. Could use the button tops in The Don as well, but use flat tops in it (and in all the clones if I ever were to use them again). ;)

After two years I measure my batteries in piles. I have at least two piles. Three if you count the old eGo's. Without thinking about it too much there must be enough charged batteries around here at any time to get me through a three day power outage. (Probably a good week if I really worked at it and got everything charged up.) You need to start working on your first pile. The two more 18650's is a good start.

Seriously, two batteries period isn't enough under the best of conditions. All it takes is a problem with one of those batteries - or losing one - for you to have a vaping dilemma.

Also have 8 18650-non aw imrs- for other devices
6 18490 aw imr-for other devices

I am getting ready to order a few more 18650s for the provaris, as 4 of the ones above are more than a year old. I have a trustfire 2 bay charger and a XTR that came with a car cig lighter cord, just in case. Come on snowstorms I think I will be ready for ya!
