I've read many articles that say that it really depends on the person and others that claim that at least 8 hours is optimal. What are your personal experiences?
4-5, glad to hear I'm not alone... good thread. People at work think I'm nuts. This forum is just my new thing, I always have something (video games, scanning photos to digital, reorganizing my mp3s, etc). Honestly, I just like my "me" time. Everyone else is in bed.![]()
just realized I can't sleep I lay in bed for hours waiting for it but it never comes Doc wants me to do sleep tests or sum such thing. I tried to tell him if I was not in pain 24/7 mabey my body would relax and fall asleep lol.
OH I ditto the me thing time I am a stay at home mom for the last 6 months and man I love these wee hours of silence
I have Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome. I cannot fall asleep at a normal time without medication for it. I generally finally get to sleep around 4-5am. Since I have to sleep on my couch in the living room because of my injuries, it all depends on how quiet everyone is as to how long I get to sleep. I usually get 3-4 hours and have little naps thru the day to keep me going. And no, the naps don't cause me to not be able to go to sleep at a regular time. I've had it since I was a young child.
I'd never heard of that before, DSPS. Now you have me wondering. I've never been able to sleep before 1-2 am, regardless of how long I've been up. I may need to talk to my doctor about this.
whats this sleep thing your all on about???
