A couple of things to note: Many of us have been posting and appreciating the posts of others since long before the "like" button arrived... It sort of baffles me that it exists, really. At least, it baffles me that it exists but isn't a functional part of sorting through information on the forums. Other forums using such a feature (likes or thumbs up or plus 1 etc etc) gather the data and then give users more options of sorting information by relevance. For instance, forums powered by Disqus give readers the ability to sort by "best" (being the posts that got the most upvotes), and by date posted (either newest or oldest). -- ECF implemented the like button, but then never incorporated it in any method of sifting through the data.
The other thing to note: Because the "like" button isn't used to help users sort data, I often use it perhaps not the way it is intended. Sometimes, when someone has responded to something I've said but did not ask a question and also seem like maybe they expect some sort of response, I click the like button just so they know I read what they wrote. I use it instead of typing some sort of short response.

Do we have the record on the most Like on *every* post yet?
I doubt it...my bet goes to my "home" thread. Every post gets a "like" from just about every other member who posts there. Just about every post has at least 7 "likes".
One guy went on vacation for a week and couldn't see his profile but was posting from his phone. When he got back he had over 100 likes.Now that makes a person feel good!
