I once "liked" a persons post then "unliked it an hour or so later then repeated that off and on all day just to see if they noticed. :D Not sure if the software registered it or not as they never said anything.
But hey, I had fun entraining myself for awhile. And I didn't have to worry about going blind entertaining myself the way I normally do.

omg I've hit the like button dozes of times too for entertainment....
....never tried to entertain myself by attempting blindness though :pervy:

Oh come on now. You can admit it. No one knows you. :D
No one knows me?

Seriously though, my gramma caught me playing with matches once and told me, with that "evil eye" look, that I'd pee in bed if I continued playing with matches!
She was wrong
...but that evil eye look...
......to this day I just know she was always able to "see" whatever I was doing no matter where I was:blink:

My wife bought an Evil Eye in India. A stink eye many call it too, ;) , many cultures have them to ward off evil or "keep an eye on it". It isn't evil in itself, I don't think. Like a pendant with something like an eye on it. Not sure if it's VV or VV/VW, but seems to work and we never had to charge it yet.

I've been debating whether or not to join in the discussion and actually post "My" like counts . . . Then I read through the thread and saw a number of post with comments that I thought were on the mark/funny and I agree with . . . Which leads "Me" to comment about the following post about "liking" someone's post . . .

And thinking about it there was a thread a while back one "Why do you give thanks?" I said :

If it made me laugh.
If someone showed inordinate kindness to anyone.
If I learned something valuable to me whether I like the info or not.
If I'm replying to someone I'm quoting (to flag them.)
And if someone tried to help me of course.

YEP ! ! !

I use it to communicate agreement or understanding of another's posts especially when I don't have more to add. It affirms people and lets them know that they didn't just submit that post into a vacuum.

YEP ! ! !

I do wish there was an "unlike" or something, if someone posts something sad or a bad thing that happened. Don't really like to "like' those, but if you don't it can make you look like an .... As it is, you end up "liking" something that just isn't likeable.

Actually I try not to "like" any post with bad news - I will only post a reply to let them know I send GOOD VIBES & Thoughts their way . . . :)

I really, really, really want a "dislike" button sometimes.

YEP ! ! ! + 1,000,000 x's especially for those post that are - SO WRONG ! ! ! :nah:

I often use it perhaps not the way it is intended. Sometimes, when someone has responded to something I've said but did not ask a question and also seem like maybe they expect some sort of response, I click the like button just so they know I read what they wrote. I use it instead of typing some sort of short response.

YEP ! ! !

If someone posts and quotes a post of mine I like it to let them know I appreciate the feedback/follow-up
Also, if someone asks for help or a recommendation, I'll like the ones I agree with (rather than clutter up the thread with a whole bunch of "I agree with..." posts).

YEP ! ! ! One of the best ways to let someone know . . . :D

I doubt it...my bet goes to my "home" thread. Every post gets a "like" from just about every other member who posts there. Just about every post has at least 7 "likes". :)

YEP ! ! ! THEY SURE DO ! ! ! :D

We're very friendly people over there. :vapor:

YEP ! ! ! THEY SURE ARE ! ! ! :D

^^ Yes and I particularly like the multi-quote button because so many people already said what I would have said, so I just quote them without having to type all of it all over again

YEP ! ! !

BTW: When I first started here on ECF there was a huge "discussion" about "like" post - it got very heated and argumentative in a couple of threads . . . Matter of fact, because of the argument that ensued, there is even one Contest thread (and worse the Vendor even condones this) where they even mentioned and make it a point still today that "A 'liked' post does not mean you've got that number (or that you yourself are even liked)."

* * * * * * * *

Now - Given the number of "likes" others have gotten/given - I am kinda embarrassed to post "My" numbers . . . .
