How many locking carto tanks are there?

I recently realized I'm a carto tank guy. I'm a carto tank guy that really likes locking tanks. In fact, for me it's mandatory. I will only buy locking tanks. They just fit my life better. I have the UDCT in both sizes and I'm. Going to order the AGR today. Am I missing any? Who else makes a locking tank? I'd like to know about them all.

What kind of issue did you have the them? The 3ml UDCT works great but it's a little low on capacity for me. The 6ml UDCT has no air slits cut into the bottom. This causes airflow problems on my sigelei zMax flat top mod. I was hoping to have better luck with the AGR. Id like to hear about your experiences with the AGR.

You won't have any problems with airflow on the AGR, it gets its airflow from between the bottom locking block and the bottom end cap, so it won't get cut off by sealing against the top of your device.

Anyway, I'm not sure about any other locking tanks beside the AGR and the UDCT. I know I saw a tank awhile back that locked via some sort of cam style locking. It had a lever which pressed down against the carto, basically locking it into place. This was awhile ago that I saw this, and I have no idea if this was a commercial unit or some one-off thing.

The AGR's issue is with it's loose seal around the carto. Evidently some AGRs are fine (and there is supposed to be a V2 which fixed this issue from what I've heard) but many people have issues with their AGR flooding like crazy, because the tank doesn't seal well against the carto, allowing air into the tank, causing the tank to feed too much juice.

I got mine working 100% flood free. I just used a thin file to file down a slot into the carto. I stopped right before I got all the way through to the filler material, then I used a push-pin to make a very very tiny hole. The hole being so small restricts juice to the point where it no longer floods, but still feeds perfectly.

I could have simply used a carto punch, but the method I used allowed me to be very precise and not make the hole too large. Punching a hole anywhere near "normal" size resulted in flooding cartos 100% of the time I tried to set it up like that.

I'm not positive but that 6ml Pyrex dct tank is only locking in the manner that it takes slotted carto's. There isn't anything to physically lock it in like the udct and agr.

Yes, you are correct. The web page said locking carto tank but it's not really. They are saying it locks from spinning in the tank. It's a great looking tank though. I found them at bigbangecigs.com if anyone's interested. They look to be a new company with great prices.

I got my AGR today. It wouldn't read on my Vamo so I put it on my twist. Nice for awhile...thankfully I removed it and set it aside upright while working in the kitchen. Half hour later there was a puddle under it, most of the liquid emptied. I'm sure I did everything correctly. I also have F16 and F17 carto tanks, no problem with those. I did punch my own holes, two small ones. I'll try again with pre-punched cartos next month.

I wouldn't use prepunched, the holes will be too big and it will still flood.

I'm not sure if you are using Boges right now, if not, I'd use them. They are less prone to flooding. But more importantly, when you punch the hole, only use a single hole and make it VERY tiny, like the size of a push-pin hole. That's the only way I can get my AGR to not flood, it's working great now.

Anyway, I saw another locking tank on Gotvapes:

X8 Carto Tank 3.0ml with Fill Port and Base Carto Secure Knob [gv-X8CartoTank] - $14.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

I could have sworn I've seen that same exact tank but WITHOUT that goofy locking feature. Possibly something Gotvapes added on? It's just awful looking. A little thumbscrew on top of the tank is one thing (which I still find ugly) but damn, a thumbscrew sticking out the side of the base like that? Looks like my niece made that.

At least it locks though! You could probably find a replacement grub screw that would fit, and wouldn't protrude from the side of the tank. You would need an allen wrench, but replacing cartos isn't an everyday type of thing. I'd bet most people wouldn't mind using a tool if it means a better looking tank (with less chance of something snagging on that tank pimple sticking out the side)

Other than that, it looks like a pretty nice tank. I wish it was just a regular carto tank instead of being covered in warts.
