How many of you didn't come from analog cigs?

Just out of curiosity, how many of you picked up ecigs as a hobby as opposed to a method of quitting analogs/nicotine?

I myself got into vaping completely as a hobby. Where I live, vaping is exremely popular in my age group (18-24 y/o's); It's been about a year or two that I haven't been to a house party where there wasn't at least one vaper present. Many of my peers subscribe to the "vape life", and I suppose I picked it up for social reasons as opposed to health reasons. I have never been addicted to analogs/nicotine, although I have always enjoyed the act of smoking. Before vapes were popular around me, it was definitely Black & Milds, which I did occasionally, but I was far from addicted. In fact, I've never vaped anything but 0mg from the start.

How many of you got started vaping in a similar manner?

(As an aside, I don't mean to trivialize or patronize anyone who has or is currently using ecigs to quit smoking analogs. In fact, as far as I can tell the vast majority of ECF users use ecigs for quitting. I see myself as an outlier in that sense, and I'd like to see how true that really is.)

It was my intention to quit when first looking into ecigs. But having been a smoker for some 40+ yrs and trying everything else out there that didn't work to 'help' me quit, I found ecigs. And I realized I didn't have to give anything up. In fact, I have gained a new lease on life, better health, etc.
I am glad you are using zero nic. If you have never had an addiction of any type, then good for you. but the rest of us lived many years chained to the analogs. Now we are free. I hope you don't ever have to go through the misery of being addicted to anything. At least,for social purposes, you picked the lesser of the harmful things we can do to ourselves.
I don't think you will find many in your category here but I have come across less than a handful in the three yrs I have been here.
