How many of you have used these things to stop dipping?

I am not a smoker. I have however dipped for over 20 years. For the last few years I wake up and put a dip in and spit one out right before I go to sleep. A can a day habit.

I bought a kit Friday of this brand. E Cigarettes By Choice 7's

I have some 36 mg juice and refillable tips ordered. I did this because the prefilled carts ony go to 24 mg. If this was real smoke Id be a train lol. I have cut myself down to no more than 3 dips a day though. I find myself wanting a dip less and less. Im hoping to beat the dip habit and eventually wean myself off the e cig and nicotine all together. Anyone else have any experience with this?

I've never dipped, but I used Snus for a while to get my cigarettes down from 3 packs a day to 2 packs. I quit both smoking and Snus immediately on 24mg the day I got my first e-cig. I can't imagine you'll have much of a problem dropping the dipping entirely. There are other alkaloids in tobacco that e-cigs don't provide and if they give you a problem, I'd recommend getting ahold of some Snus as a substitute for that last bit of dip. Swedish Snus, not the American stuff. Snus is a lot less harmful than dip and there's no spitting or any of that. It's actually pretty enjoyable. I'd still be doing it if I hadn't found e-cigs. If I had some around, I might be tempted to do a pouch even now, after 2 years.

Ive been using snus for a few months now. I have cut my regular tobacco down alot. I just want to be tobacco free. Its time. I use Skoal mint snus. It gives me a decent nicotine hit, and the flavor is kinda like gum. It lasts for a really long time too. Heck I have no idea how long the nicotine actually lasts in there but the flavor is an hour or two if you want to leave it in. I guess ill be one of the few and the proud if this works lol. Ill keep my progress or lack thereof up on here. Maybe it will help others who arent sure.

Ahh..I always associated "dipping" with the loose tobacco you stick between your lip and gum.
The reason I said snus is less harmful, and particularly the Swedish style, is that the Swedish snus is pasteurized, as opposed to the American snus which is fermented. Pasteurized tobacco has fewer of the cancer causing compounds than you get with fermented tobacco. Either type is still better than using the loose tobacco, and definitely better than smoking.

Once you've converted 100% to vaping and Snus, you've already made a major improvement compared to smoking, or even dipping loose tobacco. Don't stress over cutting the nicotine entirely. I don't know about Skoal, but the Swedish snus is available in various nicotine concentrations, so you can start tapering down even if you still are using some snus. But take your time, nicotine isn't the real health risk. Once you're detoxed from all that other stuff, it's a lot easier to ratchet down the nicotine. You might even end up enjoying vaping 0 nic.

Good luck with that; dipping for me was easier to quit than smoking was, but only b/c I was really starting to lose a lot of my gum line on the right side of my mouth. I dipped on and off for 11 yrs and I was actually able to stop dipping without ever going back. Now smoking was a different story, it took a lot more will power and vaping heavily at first to keep me going back. I've only been vaping for a yr and 1½, but I must say I am still completely off all tabacco. I just am not sure yet, how long I want to continue vaping for or if I even want to quit. Who knows, I'm just going to enjoy until I don't anymore I guess.

Before I started vaping with a real PV, rather than a V2 or GreenSmoke, I was at 2 packs a day and a can of dip each and every night( Copenhagen with a full horse shoe.) I started vaping at 36mg, and even mixed some of my own up into the 40's, at this point I'm sitting down at 3ish mg depending on what I'm feeling like for the day. The tapering of the nicotine was a natural thing, I would get to a point at any given nicotine level that it would give me a headache with the amount that I vape. I go through 60ish ml on any given week of ejuice. The biggest suggestion I can give you is not to set a date, saying "I will quit by X date," just puts unnecessary pressure on you. Good luck and congrats on your choice!

DAGGUM francis. 2 packs a day AND a full can of snuff every day? WOW. I thought my can a day habit of Mint Skoal was bad enough lol. Incidentally, believe it or not, mint Skoal is at a slightly higher nic content than Copenhagen is. I can do Cope, just tore my gums up faster. Well I have been doing this for a couple weeks now. I have figured out how to refill carts so that is helping on the money end. I have some tanks and some 24 mg juice and some 36 mg juice. Have bought 3 attys and one of em has been crap since day one, the other 2 work great. I tend to use the 24 mg juice more, than the 36. I really figured it would be the other way around.

I do vape more than I would really like to, I got 2 batteries in rotation lol. I am keeping the snus to twice a day and that is down from 3. I think this is gonna work once I get it all figured out. Still trying to see what equipment works best. I have some refillable carts coming to try. The company that makes the ecig that I have, makes a charger box that looks like a cig pack to carry some batteries and tips in for 40 bucks. I see that coming as a purchase in a couple weeks if this keeps going like I think it will.

Thank you guys for the support and advice. I will keep you posted. Ive already been telling coworkers about how this is gonna get me off they chew and they need to try it too.
