I am curious. How may of you LOVED vapeing from the moment you tryed it? And How many of you just put up with it to quit and had to seek your "sweet spot"?

I was stalking the mailman from my first starter kit. It took a couple of weeks to find a better juice than what was in the prefilled cartomizers before I completely quit buying analogs, but I was enamored with the idea before I ever tried it.

I thought I would hate it. I ordered a kit thinking it was going to be like the gum, and the patch, and Chantix, and everything else I tried; worthless. But my dad has terminal lung cancer from smoking and I thought, "I have to try something..." I have never been so happy to be wrong in my life. I loved vaping from the first puff.

I'm the kind of person who was hopelessly and utterly addicted to analogs. I've smoked since I was 14 and it became part of who I was. The very first thing I did when I woke up in the morning was smoke. After every meal, I smoked. I couldn't drive anywhere if I couldn't smoke in the car. I couldn't make it through an entire movie at a theater without wanting to claw my eyes out. Every moment of every day when I was a smoker, I thought about smoking and I didn't even see a problem with my behavior until my dad became sick.

When my PV arrived, everything changed. I started vaping and I didn't think about cigarettes at all. I was shocked. Every other nicotine replacement therapy I tried was a nightmare. They did absolutely nothing but make me horrible person to be around. Vaping is like smoking but better! Better flavor, better smell, less money, the ability to vape inside and best of all, I'm not slowly committing suicide. I also don't feel the same kind of dire urgency to vape like I did when I needed a smoke. I've already stepped down to 12mg with no issues at all.

And did I mention it's fun?! I love reading these forums. I love reading reviews, trying out new gear and picking out new flavors. Smoking was something I had to do to get through the day. Vaping is like a new hobby.

TL;DR: Thanks for helping to save my life ECF. :)

first time I tried it I thought it was a novelty but that was back in late 2007 but when I picked it back up in 2010 I really took to it, I'm one of those freaky people who like almost every juice I try
Lucky ........ :)

For any sustainable amount of time, I've had only 2. Volcano Menthol for months. Then found boba's with my secret ingredient of about 1 drop of pure menthol for every 2.5 - 3mls. Oddly, though, the Volcano doesn't taste the same now... It's weird how one juice can change your perception of another... that's probably why I'm so picky, though. I stick with one for a long time, which is probably adjusting my perception of others such that I get pigeon holed into 1 flavor.

Personally I absolutely fell in love from the moment I tried it. I knew there was something more than those crappy "Mall" ecigs. Unfortunately, I ran out of juice a couple of times. Being short on cash it was either buy a can of chew for $1 or spend around $10 for a bottle of eliquid. Luckily, my order came that had a good amount of liquid in it.

To be honest: I'm not sure how much I would like it if it wasn't for this forum. I would surely know a lot less, and prob never find the juices I like. I have found out much of those things here.

So Vaping + ECF = Immediate love

The moment I tried my crappy tiny cig like starter kit I knew I was onto something. Id given up smoking a couple of days earlier but was already thinking I wouldn't make it. Thanks to vaping I did make it and I still love it after going through some PV experimentation and juice shopping I'm happy

Last cigarette 16th October, 2011. Forever grateful for the support and advice from ECF.

Mariah, I can't honestly say it was love at first vape. I got a cheapo from the grocery store (Nicotek Metro), and it took some getting used to; it was harsh. But I was instantly in love with the possibilities. I knew about e-cigs and knew better ones existed. That's when I got on the internets for some research, and found this place. The rest, as they say, is history. :D
