I was shocked to find out how much I liked it from the beginning. I really wasn't expecting to enjoy it that much. I actually had no real intention of quitting smoking, but cigarettes are so expensive that I was hoping to save some money by cutting back on the analogs. I figured if I cut out half the analogs, it would be worth it. What I discovered instead was vaping was more enjoyable than smoking. I eventually cut out smoking altogether.

Likewise, I was absolutely floored at how well it worked when I first tried and absolutely loved it. I wasn't crazy about the three 30ml bottles of tobacco juice I got with my first order, but flavour aside I was absolutely jazzed about how good it felt so I kept plugging away at it until I started finding juices I liked much better.

As someone who had never tried to quit smoking and honestly, had no desire to quit smoking, I was really surprised at how much I liked vaping. However, I started vaping at the tail end of cartridges and blue foam stuffing (still have the stuff). If I was still having to fiddle with that mess, my outcome may be different today.

I liked smoking right from the start and, (to my amazement) I liked vaping right from the start, too. Apparently, I just have to have something to puff on.:p

Yep. Me too. I must chain vape!
I tried cuttin down to 4mg all of yesterday (used to 8mg) & had only very light cravings. 2+ months ago I smoked 2+ PAD.

We should probably be grateful Freud isn't in vogue anymore ;)

It was love at first vape  The thing that really made it amazing was the fact that I could see "smoke". ECF only made vaping much easier and a lot more fun. :)

That's a big part of it.... It gives you what you miss when you try to quit. Some taste, throat hit, seeing "smoke". A very similar sensation to smoking but without all the extra health hazards.

Funny enough, when the friend who first tried vaping showed me his ego set up I laughed at him... until my father and I decided to quit smoking. As soon as I had my own, it was over. I still take a drag off my old brand (kools) once every other month or so. I have no idea how I ever convinced myself that cigarettes taste good.

My initial reaction on trying an ecig was surprise -- I was expecting a lame substitute and was really impressed with how unexpectedly satisfying the vapor was.

I ordered a 510 kit within a few days of trying my first ecig in a mall kiosk, and while I was waiting for the 510, I used a few Blu disposables from Walgreen's. First day on the Blu, I smoked 3 analogs. 2nd day I think I had 2. By the third day, I didn't want my Camel Lights anymore and gave the 3 packs I had left in the house to a friend. Even the Blu was so much better than the analogs that I knew right away that with better vaping gear I would never want to smoke again.

I like everything about vaping. I like the absence of that nasty ash taste and smell, the great e-liquid flavors that are available, the fact that I'm not annoying or endangering other people when I vape, the fact that I no longer have to worry about burning my clothes or car seats or about disposing of stinky cigarette butts. I love that I can sit on the sofa and vape right beside my smoke-hating mother (who is so sensitive to smoke that she starts coughing if you light up anywhere in her vicinity) and have her tell me that it doesn't bother her at all and that in fact she thinks the smell is "pleasant." Most of all, I like being able to breathe. It's so great to wake up in the morning with clear sinuses and not have to have a 10 minute coughing fit while I'm starting my day.

And those are just a few of the things I like. I was at a friend's house to watch the Saints-Lions game tonight (WHO DAT!) and everyone was asking about my e-cig. I told them it had been about 3 weeks since I had a cigarette and how amazing it was to me that I had been able to walk away from them so painlessly. Someone asked me when I would be ready to quit using the e-cig.

"Quit?" I asked. "Why would I want to do that?" ;)

I've said it before in another thread somewhere that I absolutely love walking by a smoker on the street. Ashtrays and stale old indoor smoke is the gross part, but catching a whiff of a freshly lit cig smells like heaven to me. :)

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think anyone ever thought that cigarettes tasted good. Once you had smoked for a while, they didn't really taste like anything... you got used to what you now consider gross, but I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone who things cigarettes taste great (excluding the funky ones like straberry vanilla chocolate hazlenut cloves or something :))

I loved the concept. For years I had wondered if there was a way the I could get nicotine and not smell like smoke. That's why I started dipping. But that turned into putting a dip in my mouth on the way to the smoke shack. I wanted to quit tobacco but did not want to quite nicotine.

Then I found vaping, it was a god send and I loved the concept and I imminently put down the tobacco. "This just might work" I thought. There were tuff times that things did not work right or got conned on prefilled cartos. But that lead to me goggleing and finding this place and that opened up so much for me. And now I chase the ever-changing perfect vape.
