My eGo arrived arrived 9/24/11 and I had a 1/2 pack of analogs left that went into the kitchen drawer. I didn't touch that pack until I made the rookie mistake of running out of juice a couple of weeks later. That was the longest 3 days of my life waiting on the new supply to come in.

While not perfect, my eGo intrigued me enough to experient, find what worked well with it, and discover my sweet spot. Didn't take me long with the help and suggestions of ECF. I've never been happier and finally put to bed a 10 year habbit that has been killing me from inside out.

Needless to say... it had me at hello!

I wouldn't call it "Love"

I would call it "Overjoyed"

Withdrawal symptoms vary by person - a few can start and stop with no symptoms. My nicotine withdrawal symptoms are extremely severe and excruciatingly painful. I tried gum, lozenges, patches, prescription drugs, and oral spray in combination. The oral spray was the closest I had to the effect of a real cigarette, but the FDA in their wisdom ended their sale.

Looking for a substitute for the oral spray in yet another attempt to quit, I researched and ordered an electronic cigarette under the doubtful hope that I would finally be able to quit, but at least I would have a better substitute for travel.

On 1st use I was thrilled to find it hit and had the same effect as a real cigarette (of some brand other than my typical because of taste). To my joy, I instantly quit, had some minor symptoms the 1st night (though not the typical nicotine withdrawal - I suspect it is from the other additives) and I haven't looked back since.

I don't think I will ever be able to quit nicotine (though I will try in a couple of years), but at least I am away from the other nasties.

My first purchase was an expensive (crappy) mall kit. I didn't love it but was intrigued. I started doing research and eased into it. I vaped and smoked for three months before I felt comfortable enough (and well enough) stocked to quit smoking. I haven't had a cigarette since. That was Oct of 2010. Now I love it!

I loved it immediately but my choice of equipment sucked so i went back to analogs, tried it a year later with a new-improved ego tank system and still not much of a change.

Am using a ProVari now and Im literally blown away by difference having the right toys can make.Have finally managed to stop smoking totally for 72 hours and counting. Im atrributing it to my Phiniac tank, Gorilla Juice from Ave and the 6 volt velvety goodness that is ProVari :)

It took me 7 weeks to make the transition to e-cigs. My first starter kit, a Christmas gift from a local cigarette store, was a POS. The second kit I purchased online, wasn't much better. Neither set up had enough power to replace my cigarettes. Upgrading to 5 and 6 volts was what did it for me. It's not like I really meant to quit anyway, it all happened accidently really. One thing just kind of lead to another. Even with that first crappy M401 kit though, I could see the possibilities. I'm glad I stuck with it until I found equipment that worked for me. Two weeks into just vaping I smoked an analog, it was really bad! Then another one a month later, that was the clincher. 2 PAD for 38 years, unbelievabe in so many ways. ECF was and still is a big part of my success. I am "done smokin".

I am curious. How may of you LOVED vapeing from the moment you tryed it? And How many of you just put up with it to quit and had to seek your "sweet spot"?

I knew it was for me right away. Though I gave up tobacco immediately, it took a little while to find juice I liked. I vaped 9 or 10 months before I even knew what the name of the e-cig I had was (it was an original rough stack I traded for, by the way). About the time I figured out the name of what I was using and where to get another, I went on a whole new quest with hardware. In the last 14 months, I've purchased something close to 70 mods and a couple of dozen ego or ego clone batts.

I'm not really in search of a "sweet spot" though. I often look for juices, attys, and cartos to enjoy. And I often purchase new PVs not so much looking for improvements but often just looking at new features I'd like to try.

These days, I have a little something for any situation. Baskin Robins has nothing on me for number of flavors in have. And I'd bet one or two of the smaller vendors out there would love to have the variety of attys and cartos I keep in stock.

I am a variety vaper. -- That said, I do indeed have a PV and a Juice that I am able to vape all day every day. But even when I spend several days in a row with the same rig, I do find myself craving some other flavor or wanting to use some other device for a while now and again.

I guess I just don't have a sweet spot because I'm always excited to try new devices and new juices.

Tried a gas station brand e-cig years ago when they were first availeable here. Just a cheap disposable. Turned off... Any time someone ever mentioned anything about pv's I would shrug it off as worthless crap. Then my wife's aunt showed up with an ego and some awesomevapor juice. Seemed ok, but still not a substitute for smoking. She didn't explain it very well, just... "Oh yeah, theres a few flavors, it's not too expensive, but it's confusing." That combined with my financial troubles kept me away.

About a year later, a co-worker was dripping in the office. I asked him what the hell he was doing, and he described it to me. Gave it a pull, and fell in love. I wound up talking to him about dripping and all the different flavors he had tried. About a week later... Ironically on new years eve, I placed an order. I was getting sick of waking up and literally coughing for minutes until I could catch my breath. Got it a few days later... Luckily cig-not was pretty close so it didn't take long. It was a bit of a rough start but after a while I got a knack for what flavors I liked, how to drip on a 510 atty, and eventually I moved on to carts, etc, etc etc.... I still smoke a cig now and then, more social than anything, but I feel so much better in every way.

Not to continue being long winded, but what got me about vaping was what got me about rolling/stuffing my own analogs. The ability to add flavors and change things up so drastically was just awesome. After about 4 months I'm still going strong, got into diy, and still have those few flavors I pick up here and there. Luckily it's not the same as when I did RYO... Back then, I'd sit down, make a carton, and 1/4th would be gone the next day. That, and quite frankly, the fact that vaping is, itself, a very enjoyable hobby, is really what made me fall in love with it.

As for what kinda of a vaper am I? Welp, got my provari about 2 months in and love it, but I swap around from carto/tanks to clearos, to atties for DIY testing and back again. My desk is littered with rubber grommets, plastic tubes, flavorings, and various juices. I've also become sort of a local supplier, since apparently noone else likes to order online, hah. All in all, it's just so much fun.

I have tried so many times to quit in the past, That I was waiting for something to worng.
But son of a gun its working. My sweet spot seems to move around a lot.

I have sliped a few times.
But when it happens a pack last a week or more, were before I was going thru a carton a week.

I smoked a few cigarettes during the couple of days I was learning to fill the tanks and to make sure the juice was flowing properly. That was it. My last packs of cigs sat around for a while until I was absolutely sure. But, I never wanted another and eventually gave them away.

I still can't believe it; I'm finally free! My reaction wasn't so much that I loved vaping (not at first, anyway). My reaction was that I no longer HAD to smoke, that I was FREE!

I did - LOVED it from the first "drape" (drag of vape - my own little sniglet I just this second invented - I think...)!

Still do :) Been 5-months after 25 years of Marlboro Red 100's and have not had nor do I want an analogue!

Draping, love it!
