I seen this older "hill billy" lady at Wal-Mart last week smoking a ecig. I was really surprised/impressed! I live in a very small town right at the foot hills of the Applachian mountains so new technology is something we get here after it's hit every other major city so to see that i was very impressed. I thought "Wow, maybe more people are starting to keep a open mind about things!" i say this because she was older, not old-old but she was in her late 40's though. Most people of that age are "set in their ways" and don't like change, so i really enjoyed seeing that

Hi Dog1 - well kiddo, you'd really love seeing me...I smoked for 50 years (I'm still only 17) & am now going on 11 months of vaping. According to your 'old' & your 'old, old' if you want to see me I'll be on display the prehistoric bones part of the museum. Dog....I'm just joshing with you.....VAPE ON!

The only people I've seen vaping besides myself are the woman who converted me, a gal at work that she and I double-teamed to convert, and occasionally my husband. I've been trying so hard to completely convert him, he's just not quite there yet.

I vape in my car and have seen other people looking at me, probably wondering "what in the world is SHE doing?" Which leads me to believe that there are only 4 of us vaping in Vancouver, since we are such an odd site.

I saw a woman back in January vaping in a restaurant in Indiana that still permitted smoking analog cigarettes. I thought that it was an analog at first until I saw the tip light up blue and didn't smell anything. I haven't seen anyone vaping in grocery stores yet. I'm a little paranoid about vaping at supermarkets. I feel like people are more likely to react negatively to me vaping there as opposed to some diner. I've only vaped in restaurants, cafes, bars/lounges, and shopping centers (as I was walking). However, I usually don't vape outside.

Outside of the vaping community vape meets etc and outside of the internet, how many people have you ever seen vaping?

I’m talking about the many people you pass going about your business etc and not necessarily people you know.

I saw two people I didn't know and still don't vaping today at a local event (which btw had no promotion or sale of E cig stuff), I couldn’t stop and say anything to either of them but I’ve never seen anyone vape before.

Only one, and he actually approached me. Service guy at my local car dealer. I was sitting outside waiting for them to change my headlight bulb, happily vaping away on my Lavatube with a Phiniac tank. He's still using a Volt but is loving it...... He seen me out there vaping and talked to me for maybe a minute or two. Nobody else (so far)..... There's GOT to be more vapers in Houston, tX! Where are you hiding, folks?????? :)

This past weekend I was at a big expo I attend every year, and one of my favorite vendors was back. She's now on a kGo. I remember last year she was so feeling the effects of being a smoker. Lots of coughing and just general unhealthiness. Actually had me concerned if she was going to make it back this year. She looks like she has a new lot of life. Sounds better to. :) Her new business partner is going to switch soon.

And while I was outside talking to her a couple of guys with little look alikes walked by. Their eyes go kind of big when they saw my eGo and her kGo. I then showed them pix of a GLV-2 (Since that is my next *big* purchase). They were locals, so I told them about the Orlando vape store and made sure they had the address for it. I had lots of questions off and on during the night time parties. Only had one person think it was "something else."

Just wish there had been an e-cig vendor there. Maybe I'll find a way to get Joyetech interested in going next year ... if they even do conventions and expos like that.

there is a guy at work, one of the maintenance men; he vapes. he has a cheapo gas station unit that he buys. he has been quite successful with it. i have seen a couple other people with cheap disposables and most of them go back to the cigarettes in a short period of time. i just wish they knew how much better the experience is with a good unit like my provari or even a lavatube. the guy that uses the cheap unit seems interested in the better stuff that i use but he continues to use his gas station model. that's fine and i am glad for him, finding HIS way away from cigarettes. sometimes i think he tried vaping because he saw me doing it. back when i started vaping and he was still smoking he asked me about it.

About a dozen around town. The funny thing is I was at a business conference in St. Louis a few weeks ago having lunch in the mall food court with about eight people. One guy hauls out his Provari, I smile and haul out my eGo, then another person hauls out their VV and we compare notes and vape away! The others sitting around the table were fascinated!

I've seen exactly 3 people in the 9 months of vaping. One was a business contact of mine. He had throat cancer from cigs, It was caught early. He had the surgery & is cancer free. He has since quit vaping. He had just started vaping when the cancer was found. He is doing well. Another was on a cruise, she saw me vaping a 650ma Riva & she showed me her gas station ecig. I wrote down the web address to this site & hopefully she came here & got something better. The last was just a stanger I met who had a gas station model & I gave him the addy to this forum also.
