How many people have you seen vaping in public (if any)?

I live in Reno, Nevada and other than some that are in Nursing school with me, I have never ever seen someone walking around with a mod. The only obvious exception is where juice and equipment is sold. But never out and about. I vape pretty much where-ever is considerate to do so. Obviously I don't do it in class or in the school building, or blow plumes in peoples faces, but I don't hide it either. I have and will be using an ego for a short while longer. The other place I know people do it is in hospitals and nursing homes. (Employees) Because all of them are smoke free facilities, you have to get all the way out of the building and cross the street in order to smoke with out getting written up. You can't even smoke in you car in the parking garage. So, because it takes for ever to get out of the big hospitals I see many more people vaping now in the break rooms and such, because 15 minutes to smoke 2x in a 12 hr shift is not really enough.

I have seen only one person in my store with a stick style PV in their hand and one person on the T stealthing in the last year. That's about it in the Pittsburgh PA area. But Pitt is kind of not the place to see a lot of quick adaptation. We just got this "wheel" thing last week, but I think it will be a success.

A friend of mine just got back from Rome and said that it's definitely catching on over there. Another one just checked back to me from London and said, that not so much over there.

I was in Rome recently and I noticed a few people vaping.

It definitely catching on here in the UK, I often see people vaping. Plus a few people in work. Seeing more and more people at it probably inspired me to give it a go.

It's funny.. At first, the whole first month or so, people would look at me crazy EVERYTIME I pulled my ecig out. Every time I pulled it out, I would get interviewed by someone.

Now.. Noone asks. No one looks at me funny. In fact, people pull there's out.

They're blowing up fast. I live in Dallas Tx. Ecig shops everywhere.

I vape a mechanical mod usually with an 18650 battery all the time in public and I have seen a few people vaping as well. A lot of people (mostly smokers) come up and check out my mod. Sparks a lot of conversation. Going to be interesting to see the interest when I get my vamo and start vaping that in public :D. I'd like to think I have converted a couple smokers as well. I don't do a sales pitch, just tell them how much more I prefer vaping over smoking. :vapor:

Other than the vapor lounge I've visited I haven't come across anyone for quite some time. I did see a few in a mall several years back (I guess that is when the kiosks started up).

You would think in a city as big as Phoenix I would have come across a few in the last few weeks. I'm carrying my twist on a lanyard now and take a vape pretty much where I want to so I'm expecting encounters but no dice yet.

Huge city like Houston .... Seen a total of zero. But noticed several of the nearby heads shops are now carrying overpriced juice and ego kits...must be selling them to somebody. And blues and other disposables are available at many convenience stores. Did see a telltale blue glow one nite at a stoplight in the car next to me. As far as 18650/350 mods, just my wife and I, and have converted quite a few over as its a talking point to any smoker around. :)

In the Harrisburg PA area I've not spotted a vaper in the wild yet, however, I've seen many at the Capital City Mall where our only local vendor has a kiosk. The mall is actually pro-vaper, which surprised me my second visit to the vendor when I saw someone vaping inside. :)

However, I've not yet spotted one in the wild. When I do finally spot one, it will likely be like an episode of something on the National Geographic Channel observing some endangered species in its natural habitat.

I reached my 1 year mark on March 18, and when I first started, I did not see any vapers in the wild. I am happy to say, after a year, I have seen more people walking around with PVs or just stick batts. I really think vaping in public helps spread our cause and save lives. Even talking to non-smokers helps. Everyone knows someone who smokes, and you never know who you will touch when you talk to someone.
