I topped off frequently when I was using my 510, and granted I took long draws as well (manual, and I would frequently go all the way to the cutoff which was like 10 seconds).
But I think I was getting about 25 or so before I would top off.

On a standard cart, I was probably topping off every 20 or 30 minutes with moderate usage. Never really counted the puffs. I never could get a standard cart to drain more than halfway, if that, which is why I use cart mods like the blue foam when I am not at home where I drip almost exclusively.
I was having to top of regularly until I switched to pyramid tea bag mod. Now I can go almost to the bottom before I refill.
I completely quit using carts and only drip. I was having to refill and top off carts every few minutes and it was just not worth it. Now all I do is drip 2-3 drops on the atomizer and I am much happier.
