The vladdin is basically a cigalike with flanges on the side. You can hold it with your mouth if your lips are strong. Also it’s an automatic. I had terrible problems with the replacement pods for it but it sounds like that wasn’t a universal issue.

I just got my Vladdin yesterday and it's taking a while to break in....tastes a bit meh if you take a long draw. It's much better than the plastic cigs I started with (more vapor) especially with 36 mg salts.

Much easier for smokers to give up now :smokie:

On and off, I have been vaping since around 2004/5

So, maybe around 14 years....

FOURTEEN YEARS?????????????????????????

Dear Professor, please expand on this historical adventure!!!!!!! I'm fascinated, as I'm sure most will be!

Do tell us your story, please.

(Start with 2004........... what in the hellsbells did you vape, and why?)

So, my first device was an e-cigar.
Only cos they hadn't got the smaller batteries back then.

And I was given the e-cigar by a very friendly Chinese chap who was at the same business conference as myself. He was trying to raise funding to start the first company to import these E-Cigars to the UK. It was the first time I think anyone had seen an electronic cigarette type device, over here anyway.

Unfortunately as there was no branding on the cigar (company had not been started back then, the device I had been given was a sample only) and I could not find any refills for it.

I kind of wish I still had it, a real piece of vaping history.

It was a while before I came across a detestable little device called a Health-E-Cig
Similar to some of the early Gammuchis (that followed) but without the battery life. Or anything else to make it even slightly likeable, except the flavour. It was a mint/tobacco blend that was quite nice.

Then I moved to a 510 (manual and auto)
The first 510 was a metallic blue colour, and my local pub used to let me vape, but it was always a way to get people coming over and asking what it was....

Then a Joye V3

Then I made my sonic screwdriver, which I used at work, in the car etc

Then I ended up with a 618 pipe, with cartridges, then a 618 C (cartomiser)

I kept using my sonic on and off for close to 14 years, but it was laid to rest a couple of years ago...

Then I had a break. But I missed vaping.

So recently I bought a little Jem device, but didn't like it....

I ended up with a 40watt mod... Hated that one....

I got an Elitar, and I liked the vape, but it didn't feel right, and as the values I was using were pretty close to my old mech mods, I decided I didn't need 75watt, didn't need VW, TC, or any of the other functions.

So recently I got a Kamry K1000plus, close, but (unfortunate phrase) no cigar. Only because the battery is built in.

So I got a K1000 18350 mech mod..... Loving this.....

And in a week or two, I should get the invoice for my hand made Limelight purple orchid
