How much $ are you saving?

I'm in the former RYO smoker camp too, and was at around $30/mo for tobacco -- so I'm at roughly minus $250 in savings after 2.5 months... Though I do expect to "break even" someday, since I hope to pretty much only need wick, wire, juice and the occasional battery from now on, and DIY juice is a definite possibility.

I know what two of those things are! Well I just decided today to look into vaping again. The Volcano kit I bought last winter didn't satisfy me at all.

I know that's right haahahahaaaa Ya know try to justify my spending more on vaping than the analogs by telling myself it's healthier. I've had people who don't vape that only smoke ask me "How much did you pay for that PV?" and i tell them and they say "No way, you paid what for that?" and i tell them "yeah but i'll have this thing for a few years if not longer, how long does that $60 carton of cigarettes last you, ten days max?" and then they look down at the ground and say "well i guess you got a point"

By the way, if saving money is your objective, then maybe starting a thread asking for advice on how to save, would get you lots of help and answers!

I need to do a lot more research before that. It was only because of a link on slickdeals that I even learned the tank types exist.
I'm also still in love with analogs, just willing to try ecigs again. Maybe.

I save much more now taht I have found my all day vapes, 3 flavors I switch up every week or so, and now that I have found the mod and atty that work for me. Now I take what I would have spent on smokes put it in a jar and use it for the juice (vapeshop 6 blocks away) and what is left over stays in the jar. Not sure what I want to spend it on LOL

I smoked a pack and half of Newport a day in NY @ almost $10 a pack. I started vaping almost 2 months ago and got a Inferno kit, a Torpedo VV and an Ego Twist along with 2 Vivi Nova tanks 3 clearo's, 4 attys and 3 drip tips. Wait 2 backup batteries and 10 different flavors of juice. I still have not passed what it cost me to smoke for one month here in good old NY. This is the best thing I could have done. I only wish I new about it a couple years ago before I wasted time on the gum and patch. Have a great vape!!!

A bit of napkin maths suggests I'm spending ~20% of what I was on analogues. £200/month then to £40/month now. Once I've broken even from my (second) starter kit that's arriving this week, that'll likely reduce even further.

Since this is still new for me, I also anticipate no savings. After I finish making the newbie mistakes, and settle on the hardware and wetware, I might save some money. But I doubt it because:

I'm at about break even right now. I've wasted a little bit on some things that have not worked out. On the good side, I've gotten juice that I wasn't a fan of from two different sites. How is that good? Well, I've been able to pass it on to others. Though I didn't use that juice myself, I helped another person or two keep their vaping going and they aren't smoking stinkies. As I'm settling in on what I like for extra mods, I can see myself getting in to the black pretty easy. Though to be honest, if I was still spending exactly what I would have with smoking six months down the road, I can be happy knowing I'm not killing myself any longer. How can I put a price on that?
