i ordered $53.63 Vamo V3 Variable Voltage E-Cigarette Battery Compartment Set with OLED Screen - with Nitecore I2 US battery charger/charger cable/2*Panasonic 18650 batteries at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping yesterday so i cant wait for that to arrive! im a noob in a similar situation to most these posters. got a crappy ego to start with for a stupidly high price....did some research and every sign pointed to the vamo for the next step.

99% of feedback on this beast is good. on fastech u can get it for 30 bux...and if that lasts 3 months at a minimum its still a hell of a deal.

Not really because at the end of 3 months you'll have nothing to show for the 30 bucks you spent if it breaks.

Spend a little more and look for quality. The last you want is to buy something thats going to leave you high and dry and thinking about going back to cigarettes.

I think he was just trying to make a point from what I have read and personal experience vamos do seem to last much longer than 3 months I've had mine from six to eight months and it works just as good as the day I bought it.
I paid much more the 30 for mine ane it didnt come with batteries or anything, man the price really has dropped.

I too started out with a vamo for my first vv/vw, im now using a sigelei zmax v3 (essentially a fancy vamo) and the girlfriend is now using my vamo and its still going strong! Never had an issue with it. :)

Do you think that the sigelei zmax v3 has any features that the Vamo doesn't or other advantages? Just curious.

Nothing substantial the telescoping feature is nice and there is a couple menu options such as choosing what displays when you fire it, be it your power level your battery life or your ohm reading. And once you get used to it the one button menu is nice also and looks sharper then having three buttons. So its all little features that you could easily do without and cosmetic appeal. as far as I'm aware its the same chip in it as the vamo so the accuracy and the way it fires/functions is the same.

Ive held and used both. The Z-max is more solidly built than a Vamo and should last considerably longer. The Siegeli Z-Max I used was stainless steel in construction and very similar in weight to a Provari. Very solid.

Of the two, Ive seen far more complaints about the Vamo breaking 1 month, 3months, 6months in etc versus hardly any complaints about the Z-Max failing.

Do a forum search on each.

I would have to agree much better quality. But also double the price but I think its worth it and brushed stainless steel is the standard material on them No chrome plating like the vamo

Yeah, there's a serious lack of trustworthy B & M's in Lee County. I too paid a ridiculous price for a couple of eGo batts and no name clearos. After a while I discovered Vapin' In the Cape. Very reasonable for most items, extremely good customer service and good knowledge of their products. I still shop online and use them for the little things like wick and wire.
Welcome to Vapin' in the Cape - THE 'Original' VAPE STORE! Often imitated.....NEVER Duplicated

Can't go wrong with a vamo, unless it doesn't work, like the free one some unnamed online shop sent me by accident. Thankfully the one I did order and paid for worked fine, but getting a free broken one was a bit of a tease. If you plan to go above 12 watts you need to stack 2x 18350 to achieve maximum vamo power! It's so sad when I put one of my drippers on an fixed voltage ego, because it reminds me how great VW is.

Great point there!

i know buy they charge extra my point was that sigelei takes pride in their product and would never put out something so cheaply plated like that. just a get what you pay for kind of point. don't get my wrong i love the vamo for the money it cant be beat.

Do they come in pink? :p

Somewhere, I think here at ECF, I saw someone talk about Vamo sold in colours called Shanghai I think.

Anyways my question since A Vamo is my next purchase, besides size (and rattle), what is the performance difference between the three battery configurations?

Not that i am aware of, but you can always Jwrap it to make it pink! save money not buying the stainless steel one and just jwrap it pink =P http://www.jwraps.com/

i believe the one difference is that the V3 only has RMS mode which is nice but once u set your V2 to RMS mode u never have to do it again so really no big deal at all and obviously the cosmetic differences (imo the V2 looks nicer.)
