So a lot of ex-smokers come to camping for both the healthy reasons and the cost effective reasons.
However let's not kid ourselves
ONE OF THOSE THINGS JUST DOESNT BELONG
Personally my lovely minimum wage check goes out the door to the vape shop REALLY QUICK. I'm a very heavy caper, and I tend to run out and spend about 40 a week. Granted I like to buy new builds and explore my options but still. How much do you spend?
See my sig banner. That's still my budget.

I'm just starting out so I have to start from scratch... and also I have to think of the future when vaping will be all but practically banned here in Europe. I try to DIY everything from juice to coil heads but the initial investment is pretty hefty. So for the moment I'm spending way more than is good for me. I have a spreadsheet that calculates that I might break even round about November this year.... but that will only happen if I stop buying stuff! For the moment I am happy that I'm not smoking.

ok lets preface this with after the craziness of new shinyitis and we've both been using the iSticks and Vapor Flasks for a few months now..so that's w/o hardware ...so coils & juice for the two of us I spend less than $100 /month for the last three months. Even when buying hardware it was around $200/month I'd stagger..I get something..he gets something..so waaaay cheaper than smoking..I knew if we stuck to it..we'd net a savings. We're there..

sure beats $72.50 a carton in four days not to mention all the respiratory Rx's I used to have to take.

If you are on a tight budget, a B&M may not be a good option. I do my shopping at FastTech, make my own coils for the inexpensive Orchid, and mix my own juices. I have averaged $30 a month for quite a while, and expect to reduce my spending even more in the future. Dollar-A-Day Group | E-Cigarette Forum Once you have found what works for you, spending generally tapers off. So long as you resist the next new shiny.

There is an American Dime store vape shop kinda like Fasttech Best E Cig Mechanical Mods & Rebuildable Atomizer For Sale Now you can be thrifty and help support American economy also. A win win.

I hate to disillusion you, but I think that is a Chinese company with an outlet in the US. However, it does do more for the US economy than FastTech. AND faster delivery.
No disillusion on my part but at least some Americans work there.

What Im trying to say is that I keep looking & see something I like....than bingo I pull the trigger.
My wife always make comments & rolls her eyes.
Think she needs help lol. :D

Speaking of juice mtbaker 8oz bottles is the wtg.

I spend alot, but in the in the end my Smpl Clone and Derringer just make me happy. I have 7 boxes unreg/reg and havent been using any of them lately. If I stop buying stuff(which i need to) ill only spend $60 a month or so on juice. I usually like to buy some craft juice every paycheck and vape $12/50ml when Im feeling cheap. The cheap juice is 1 of my favorite ever

How much have I spent...well, a lot...probably $2,000-3,000 my first year.

How much do I spend now. Well, I have not spent anything for the last 10 months except $20 or so for VG from Walmart. I only use unflavored liquid. I have several years worth of nic in the freezer and plenty of wire for rebuilding. I may need a couple of new batteries this year, and I need to run to Tractor Supply and spend $20 for another gallon of PG this summer.

Needless to say, I don't experiment and quit chasing shiny objects some time ago.

Juice, mostly unflavored DIY, costs me about 10 cents a day. I buy a few 18650 batteries every year, so there's another 8 cents a day or so. I have several REO's and RDA's, so I don't need to buy any more equipment for a long time. My first REO's are over 4 years old, still going strong.

Yeah lets not kids ourselves! Its definitely not cheaper once you 'fully' make the switch....

Just on liquid I am going through about 120ml every 10 days... At its cheapest that is 105$ a month just for liquid. In the last year I have bought 6 mods and as many RDAs, and lets not forget wire, and I would consider myself middle of the road.

This has been an expensive month! Just dropped 120 on new RDA and a comp cap, 60 on wire, and 40 on new ohm meter, 400 on a new box mod, and 300 on supplies to start making my own ejuice. I think I am done for awhile! ;-)

Smoking was a habit, vaping is a hobby!

I actually keep a spreadsheet because I am a big nerd. I thought it would help motivate me to quit smoking if I could see how much money I was saving, but in the first couple of months vaping actually cost me more than smoking did. Overall in 2014 (I switched to vaping in April) I spent £1300 on vaping supplies, but saved £900 considering what I used to spend on cigarettes.

This year is going better. I've spent £420 on vaping supplies, saving £600. I actually bought no vaping supplies in March. Since last September, I seem to average around £100 per month.

Saving money was a major reason why I wanted to quit smoking, so I've been careful not to look too much at shiny things

I spend about 50 bucks a month now (if that), heavy spending gets old over time you just feel like you have enough.

I've got backups for my backups and backups for my entire extended family if they ever needed them.
Spend thousands early on, lately I just don't see anything truly innovative worth buying so I just restock juice and sometimes I don't even do that since I have so much juice in the drawer.

You can get that 360ml down to ~$20 easily.
