So when I first decided to make the switch from tobacco to a PV, my biggest worry was being successful but running out of eliquid. I have to order all my nic ejuice online since there are no local stores, and after asking around I figured I needed about 30ml/week (that was at the lower end of the recommendations I got). Well, tomorrow will be 2 weeks since I made the switch, and I just finished my first 30ml jug of 18mg eliquid.

For those of you that hate doing mental math, that's 1/2 of the lowest estimate I got. Maybe those vets wanted me to over-estimate so I didn't run out, and therefore lied about how much they use (not a criticism, that's good logic for someone helping a noob IMO). I don't know. I pretty much chain-vaped for the first week, and it's slowly dwindled down to the point where I vape as much now as I used to smoke, and I'm still doing fine.

So, just a quick questions: How much ejuice do you typically vape in a week?

DISCUSS!

I'm just starting week 3 and, so far, going through 3-5 ml per day (depending). Which would be 21 to 35 ml per week. Call it a reasonable average in the high twenties.

I did step up the nic level to 22 mg/ml, so over the last day or so that seems to be dropping a little bit.

I just ordered some 24mg stuff today b/c I do feel cravings (and I don't like that), so I figured I'd experiment. Do you find higher nic levels feel/taste different than the lower ones? I have some 12mg ones, but they're all fruity flavours (whereas my go-to is RY4) and I'm not sure if they taste weak b/c of the nic or b/c of flavour.

I'm quite confused now, as to how much I'm actually using. I have been vaping for 10 days..have been pretty much chain vaping when I'm home..but I have 4 5ml bottlels and a 30ml bottle and haven't emptied one of them yet.:?: I'm using 24mg..Maybe due to the fact that I work full time so I don't vape much at work..Getting ready to re stock just to be safe!;)

Same here. At 12 they were intolerable. At 18, I could go four to five hours before I absolutely HAD to have an analog because I was getting the dizzy-sick feeling. At 22, so far, my last analog was seven hours ago and I don't notice it yet.

It does. There's much more throat hit and I'm adjusting to that now. Flavor is a little rougher and a touch muted. I don't think the higher nic lets the flavors come through as well, the 12 is much smoother and richer.

I'm moving into DIY for that reason and starting to mix my own (the bubble gum flavor is nearly perfect and I love it) so I can adjust flavor levels as I need to.

That's how I feel. I have 1 30ml bottle that is my go-to vape, and a few smaller samples. I probably smoked 6ml (MAX - via dripping) out of the smaller bottles, and just finished the 30ml bottle today...

Yeah, I've had a few of those moments, but since I don't have any tobacco in my house and refuse to buy any, I've just chain-vaped my way through it (at 18mg). I'm hoping that with the 24mg, I will be able to avoid that. Only time will tell. That being said, there have been a few times lately where I *really* wanted to smoke a regular cigarette, as in it was worse then when I used the patch and all that, but I resisted. I figure all good things come with a price, and the change in my taste buds/sinus stuffiness/etc have been worth it.

I want to get into DIY too for the simple reason that it's way cheaper, and I've realized I could just vape RY4 for the rest of my life and be OK with that :p.

See, that' probably where I'd be another week or so..I guess I'm on the right track then, if I'm not alone.;)

OMG! I thought I was the only one who was calling it his Binky.

I do find I overstock; I have a huge selection of pre-made flavors, all 12 mg (naturally). Fortunately I have unflavored nic solution to bring those up, at the cost of diluting the flavor. On the up side, my mother is vaping 12 mg, so it's not like it doesn't have a use even as-is.

DIY is easy, I got my stuff today and whipped up nine samples, one of each base flavor. They're currently steeping on my shelf, although I couldn't resist trying the bubble gum, wintergreen, and lemonade flavors. So far, they're excellent even as single-note, although I intentionally went light on the flavoring since it's easy to add more. Subtracting it, not so much.

It'll certainly be much better! I never had much positive effect from the patch at all, and tore the thing off and went back to smoking. Today, so far, I have very little desire to smoke those...burning things...when I can sit here and vape lemonade to my heart's content. It's the 22 mg that finally did it, although I may need 24 when all is said and done. Either way, I'm very close.

I Vape between 4-6 mls a day, so 28-42mls a week. I keep mine at 18mg nic since I like being able to chain vape without feeling sickie.

I'm thinking about getting an assortment of bottle in different mg levels some in my normal 24mg..some in 18mg d some in 30 for those really "iffy" moments when 24mg just isn't cuttin' it.;)

Realizing, post the 12 mg "am I getting ANY nicotine here? Bueller? Bueller?" incident, I did since I didn't know where I'd end up stabilizing. You can always mix higher levels of the same flavor with lower levels to adjust the nicotine if you want, as well.

Or different flavors, but you'd better be a glib hand at that as you can end up with some seriously nasty combinations. Ask me about Pomegranate and Chocolate Mint. It wasn't a good scene. Not at all.

Well, I've quit for 6+ months using the patch, but I never made it off of "step 1" (that's the highest strength patch that you're only supposed to use for the first month). Every time I tried to move down, I felt like I just wanted to tear my skin off (I'm not good with nicotine withdrawal - obviously LOL). This is different since I can regulate a bit better, but I'm still thinking I would be a much more pleasant person to be around if I move up to 24mg. That's part of the learning process I guess... Maybe if I start DIY I'll move down in 1mg increments over the next 24 years and see what happens

Yep, that is something I totally forgot abou doing..getting like 36mg unflavored and adding it to lower ones if need be;)

You should be able to step down at 1 mg per month with absolutely no issues! Or you may find you plateau for a while and can then suddenly drop 3 mg with no issues.

I had the same issue with the patch, except in my case the nic fit started and just didn't stop. I was getting all the physical side effects from day one and it was driving me insane. I also don't do withdrawal very well.

Nobody does, I think.

What does binky mean?! 2nd time I saw it here and it seems to have created some discussion :p.

A binky is one of those little rubber things with the plastic face that babies suck on to stop them from fussing. In my case, referring to my PV as my Binky is extremely accurate, I get fussy without it. I'm sure the toxic poo in the diaper and the colic would be next if I weren't given it immediately.
