How much have you smoked?

I just did the math and found out that on average, I have probably smoked 174,720 analogs in my life. That's 8736 packs or 836.6 cartons. When you look at it that way, it really seems like a lot. I wish I could tell how much I spent on them, but when I started, cigarettes were $2.00 a pack or less. I remember buying Sundance (Kroger Brand) cigarettes on sale for $10.00 a carton as late as 2002. Now you can't even buy 2 packs for that. for me though, it's much more about health than money. In less than a week, my smokers cough is all but gone. That's something I definatly won't miss!

I don't want to know how much I smoked.. Wayyyyy too much for sure.
For me it is not about the money and it is about the health but saving me
money helps too!!!
I have only been soley on e-cigs for 2 days and don't even crave a cig. I have not even when 2 days without a cig in about 15 years so it means alot.
I am ready to not feel like a leper when I light up, and not smell like an ashtray...
My family is also ready for me to give it up!!!
Congrats to you on quitting it is one of the hardest things to do without having
the e-cig to help you though it!!!

Congrats on 2 days without cigarettes. I'm working on 4 days, 16 hours. It took me more than a month because I started with Blu. Had all kids of battery, and atomizer problems. Then after my second day of not smoking, my V4L Ultimate Ultimatum Shorty kit came. Now I use my Blu when I'm waiting for my V4L batteries to charge. Also got a passthrough with the kit. it helps a lot.

In the past 33 years it looks like 343200 analogs or 17160 packs at an average of 1.90 per pack. They Were .45 when I started and the last pack I bought was 2.87 over the years I have paid more then that on occasion.

Thats $32604.00 A few more years and I could buy an iron lung.

I did the math months ago and figured that I had smoked more than 525,000 cigarettes in more than 36 years. Now I can't stand the smell of them.

That's just an estimation though, since my smoking level vacillated wildly over the time that I smoked. For a while it was 3 packs a day, and I'd been trying to push it down to a pack a day, but usually not getting much below 30 a day, blah blah blah.

A week with zero. Cool.

I figured about 260,000 in my 25 years smoking. When I started it was 40 cents a pack at the Indian reservation, now they are about $2.80 a pack there. The money saved and the health benefits of the e-cigarette make me smile every day.

I have gone through the gamut looking for the ulimate "smoke alternative" and finally found it. It is a VYPR with a DSE801 atty and all I can say is that it is killer. I tried some of the pen style, etc. and there is no comparison. The forum is a great place for info and I saved alot of money just reading and listening.

Juice at 36mg, any flavor, seems to do the job and I have no craving for analogs. 8 weeks without one and I am done with the 45 years of sucking the FDA approved analogs.

It is so ironic, since I grew up in Winston-Salem, NC, and put myself through college working in the cigarette factories during the summers.

In my 30 yrs of smoking, I estimate about 360,000 analogs to the tune of almost $50,000 (WA prices). What a waste.

In 4 days with ecigs, I can't stomach the thought of an analog at all.

I just did the math. About 3/4 of a pack on average for 18 years 123,188 analogs. Based on average pricing in Canada since the early 1990's, that amounts to just over $30,000. Laid end-to-end, that would be 9.23 kilometers in length, or about 5.76 miles.

Near as I can tell, my 28 year or so habit of smoking a little less than a pack a day means that I smoked about 120k analogues before dumping the habit 14 months ago.
