How much do smokes cost where you live?

Here in France it's about €7 a pack. Most people roll their own here, but they've been taxing the hell out of rolling tobacco as well. €6.50 for 30g, €2 for 150 filters, and €1.50 for 100 rolling papers. €7 = $9.50. Prices may have gone up a little though, I haven't set foot in a tobacco store for 7 months!

They are just shy of $10 a pack in cook county, thats where Chicago is. I went into the gas station on my way out of work asked for a pack of of smokes the total was $9.98, I said I only wanted one pack. The clerk said you a are in Cook county, I laughed at him and said I'm going across the street. I left there feeling good about my $5.50 smokes.

South Africa you can get a cheap pack of 20's like princeton or LD Blue for about $1.70 and your normal Marlboro etc for about $3.20

well lets see depends on where you buy , 6 cartons a mo on average for a 2 pak a day smoker = a new truck payment a month .
less lung capacity
a disgusting smell on your clothes
not to mention several other health issues smoking costs , shall i go on ?
i can honestly say im seriously starting to HATE ANALOGS . after not smoking approaching the 3 week mark i honestly find the smell disgusting now .

About 4 Euros in Portugal... not really expensive, when compared to prices I've seen in posts above. Still... I would be spending around 160 Eur a month it I was still smoking. As it is, I am currently spending only 30-35 Eur / month by vaping...!

It's $5-7 here. It was $0.25 a pack when I started. I remember hearing sometime in the '60s that NY was paying $0.75 a pack and swore I'd never pay that much!

Cheap cigs here are about $4.50 per pack. Name brands about $6.00. I can remember when cigs in vending machines were 28 cents per pack. You put in 30 cents and there was 2 pennies under the cellophane covering the pack. When I went into the Air Force in 1972 I purchased my Marlboros at the commissary and they were $1.00 per carton and with a carton purchase you got two packs free. That made them about 8.5 cents per pack.

That's the price of cigs in Norway. Taxed like crazy. Needless to say, vaping gear and supplies are cheap in comparison.

My last pack of American Spirits was $8.98 and that's when I got serious about vaping. Prices went up in July to pay for our new Vikings stadium :/ and a lot of Minnesotans raced to this forum!
