My friend is the one who got me to start vaping. She told me to order 36ml nicotine juice. I now wish I didn't but don't want to waste that money spent. I smoked 6 to 8 cigarettes a day. I started vaping Wednesday night and on average I have vaped about 1.5 ml each day. I have not felt dizzy or sick to my stomach but I have had some very vivid dreams. I kind of like that a lot though :) should I buy some non nicotine juice to cut in?

how much juice do you usually go through each day? Am I overdoing it?

36 mg is HUMONGOUS in my opinion , i get all the symptoms you describe even at 24 or 18.
I vape 12 mg during the day and 6 mg in the late afternoon.
To avoind trowing out all that juice order 0 nicotine and mix it to the
desired concentration , i.e. mix 10 ml 36 mg with 20 ml 0 nic and you get 30 ml of 12 mg juice.

I go trough 4-6 ml everyday of the combined 12 and 6 mg.

That is a lot of juice for that nic level especially when you compare it to the amount of cigarettes you smoked everyday... I smoked a pack a day. When I first started vaping in January, I was on 18 mg and I vaped about 1.5-2ml a day. I started on 24mg, but quickly went to 18 because I noticed it made me start to feel the symptoms of poisoning if I took drags as often and as big as I did. I have since moved to 12 mg and I now vape about 2.5 ml a day. However, everyone is different. Maybe your body handles nicotine better and processes it faster for some reason, even though you had a much lower tolerance than I did. Keep in mind, you are no longer getting the dangerous carcinogens from tobacco smoke, but nicotine constricts blood vessels and can cause other complications. Im not a doctor, nor will I ever be, but to much of anything is a bad thing. If I were in your shoes I would move to a lower concentration, and see how it feels. Whatever keeps your cravings away. 36mg is a very strong level. Most places don't even carry 36, at least none of the local vape shops in my area, the highest is 24. I would recommend getting another juice, or maybe get small 5ml sample bottles with a few different levels and see what fits you. The ideal is to slowly decrease your nic level until you are vaping zero, but for some, myself included, I enjoy the effects of the nicotine. IMHO I do not think it causes any more harm then a habitual coffee drinker.

Sorry to ramble on, just wanting to give you some idea of my personal experiences and maybe you can gain from it. I remember just a short time ago I was very overwhelmed with everything. But its a good road to travel. Congrats on the switch and I wish you luck.

You could buy some no-nic juice of the same flavor or buy some Vegetable Glycerin from CVS or walgreens and add it to your juice to reduce the strength. Even a little distilled water or some vodka would work at a pinch.

I vape between 2 and 7 mls a day depending on what I am doing and where I am. If you are doing 1.5mls a day and it's keeping the cravings away and you are not feeling any ill-effects, that sounds fine to me.

I still struggle with insomnia, I've not had the vivid dreams, but I just can't sleep. I've tried vaping lower (even no-nic) juices in the evening, but I still have some problems sleeping.

The dream thing is a side effect of quitting smoking. It happened to me every time i tried to quit...the most vivid dreams i've ever had. It stops after a few nights

You're wrong , the dreams come from high nicotine level, I reduced the nic level in the afternoon from 12 to 6 and all those weird dreams are gone.

I agree it is the nicotine level. When I tried the patches the information insert said to take the patch off at night because it would cause vivid dreams. Being the rebel that I am I left it on. It was the only good thing about the patch!

There are many people who vape 36mg eliquid. 6-12mg is considered VERY low and for many would condem them to going back to analogs! Not every one is like you!

The average nic strength used based on numerous polls is 16mg - 24mg. If 36 is too high, then I would suggest stepping it down a few strengths at a time. Try some 24mg and then some 18mg.

The average ml vaped daily is 3ml - 5ml.

A good thing to do is buy some vg or pg, which ever you choose, and dilute the nic level

Most ppl vape around 12mg not sure why ppl think its higher and wish they would stop giving old advice. The higher nic level were back when devices didn't vape nearly aswell or for cigalikes since they don't vape well. If you start out with ego batteries and clearos 12mg is good for a pad or less smokers, cartos you could possibly up the nic a bit. Move upto a genesis and you would go even lower, it really depends on 2 factors your device and how much you smoked.

I got the gogo with the Fury tanks. I love it! I have nothing to compare it to (except the disposable cig-a likes and they don't count) but it works for me. I am still so confused when I read stuff on this sight though. What would the Fury tanks be considered? Clearos? So many new words!

I smoked about a 18-20/day and have always been a really heavy smoker. It's all about how much you smoke your e-cig, I guess. The guy that got me into the ego-C's suggested the 24mg juice, and that 32mg would give him headaches, etc, and my wife, a slightly lighter smoker, says she's satisfied with the 24mg juice.

But, my wife smokes non-menthol and I smoke menthol, so instead of buying 2 bottles of flavor for every flavor (one menthol, one non-menthol), I asked them to give me some 100% menthol juice at 36mg. I noticed I preferred the more menthol flavoring, so on my latest flavor I'm trying from my local shop, I happened to get 32mg (Strawberry flavor) and actually prefer it, but for me it TASTES too strong. (50/50 pv/vg).

So what I've been doing lately is doing 50/50 with two flavors I like mixed, one 24mg and one 32mg, yeilding approx. 28mg/mL liquid which I really like (both flavor wise and nic wise).. I smoke 2.5mL of my "28mg" liquid per day. So that's pretty approx. but about double of what you are smoking -- and I smoked about double what you did in cigs. So I don't find that too much (but no expert, either).

There is a really great article on here about the safety, etc. of eCigs and their comparison to cigarettes that said that most vapers vape for an avg of 12 minutes at a time (vs 'analogs' aka cigarettes at 6 min).. So that made me feel better too.

Keep in mind at any point if you start feeling sick, dizzy, lightheaded, headache, nausea, or "weak".. Just STOP! That is "too much" and you'll know it.

Otherwise, just smoke until you're satisfied. I think you're pretty much the nail on your head, but once again, no expert here.
