How much money have you wasted on unvapable eliquid, cigalikes that taste like plastic and atomizers that break or stop working quickly?

Hmmmn... Well...

I have given out about 60 "Starter kits" mostly put together from bits and pieces of the stuff I bought that I out grew or didnt care for. Good enough to get guys through a 3 week rotation offshore until they could order a decent set up.

I did get 2 juices that were a total waste of money... One tasted like pure rubbing alcohol ( the shop closed days later ) and another was vegetable oil... the flavor was all in a glob and it was slippery to the touch ( also not in buisness ) both were from fly by night shops in central texas.

I have a provari and 2 MVPs I dont use. A nautilus mini I dont use ( not enough juice capacity ) a 15 watt dovpo I dont use, and a good half gallon of juice I dont care for.

I will be selling or gifting all of it, so I dont feel like it was a huge loss. Most of my "Losses" were buying a gaggle of nautilus BDC coils and finding out they were garbage and immediatley upgrading to BVC coils... Getting an 11 watt MVP, but wanting 15 Watts for my nautilus weeks later, then wanting at least 40 watts for my atlanis months after that.

So I have 4 atlantis tanks, 2 tank extentions, 30 coils, a 100 watt 26650 mod, a tobh atty and a 200 watt kamry box mod in the mail and 360mls of juice.

Still less than cigarettes, so I dont mind spending the money. Anything I outgrow helps another person quit smoking.

The feeling of having over a dozen less people ruining their health and giving money to cigarette manufacturers... Frikking Priceless!!!!!!!

I got lucky enough to find my ADV within the first month, so not much wasted there. Hardware, now that's a horse of a different color. First 5 months 1000+, since purchasing my current PV, 9 months ago, ZERO dollars. I do creep the classified ads for coils and cartos and every now and then a tank or 2 but no PVs.

I fell for a bunch of those KJ specials last year and found it all to be peppery subpar juice ... add in a few more orders of crappy vendor juice ... I went to DIY.

My first orders of nic base were like ... yuck, the same peppery nic bases all these other vendors are using.

I finally tried VT nicotine ... awesome stuff.

I wasted about $400 on crappy vendor juice.

Clearomizers have come a long way, if you prefer them. The Aspire Atlantis is pretty good but not so great for pulling those restricted-airflow cigarette drags (this is based on out-of-the-box experience, I haven't tried to rebuild it yet). When I tried the low airflow setting, it gets too hot before you get a thick enough cloud (for my preference). I'm a bit of a cloud chaser though, which is why I prefer RDA's. Anyway, I think the fact that the technology is so new is the reason we waste money. There's just something better that keeps coming out. My suggestion though, is to forget the little innokin style batteries and get a mech mod, provided you know how to deal with Ohms, Amps and Volts. Kanger tanks...I really suggest getting the ones that don't have an intake hole in the actual atomizer's positive pin, like the Aerotank, or add the airflow control base to your existing Protank

I fixed that for you.

Those arent tanks. They are only tanklike in appearance because they have a juice reservoir. People here make the same mistake and call RBA's tanks as well.

THESE are tanks. tank.jpg

just wasted $90 on a box of Nicoticket's. Guess that's marketing done well. Wakonda, Strawnilla, Frenilla, Custards Last Stand, and Absolute Crème Brulee - Found the stuff repulsive. Wakonda was horrifying - pretty much resembled regurgitated aspartame vomit, with a little less acidity.

Other then that, really not too much. $60 or so on ego-C batteries when I started and some t3d tanks that worked like permanent vacationers on welfare.

I wasted about $50 on tobacco favored liquid before I figured out the beverage favors are my taste. Everything else has been very good or served it purpose.

2 Nautilus minis are the front line every day tanks fired at 8 watts
1 Atlantis tank will be more useful when I can fire it below 25 watts, waiting for 1 ohm coils from fasttech
egrip with rba and sleeve. My stealth option. A bit finiky. but has it's place
IVP 2s supplies most of the power most of the time but will be suplimented with one of the mini 30 watts
vision spinner 2 relegated to backup
cheapee Puff vape stick that got the job down for the first few days but starting with the N mini and something similar to 30w iStick makes more sense today.

.

I have some of the 1 ohm coils on order from fasttech as well... I think I would like the Atlantis even with a little less vapor. I am kinda hoping it will fire on my provari? I havent done the math yet... I guess I will just try it when they arrive... I have plenty of options though.

Like Zapped and a few others have said, I can't really consider any of the money I have spent to be a waste as it has all been a learning experience and led me to where I am now. My first e-cig (trinity) was a pos top coil that constantly flooded or gave dry/burnt hits yet I still don't consider it a waste. My current mod (pic to the left) is made from a wall adapter (donated by an old router) a dead ego/510 battery, some wire, a toggle switch purchased from radio shack and a 1.8ml aspire CE5. All recycled/re-purposed other than the switch, tank and juice. I am glad that I purchased the e-cig items that I no longer really use as a whole since I use them for their parts.
