Aweee, you have a great heart for helping people and you cannot ever be faulted for it! But, you also need to know when to stop so you are not stepped over.

I'm glad it's working for her, and you need to tell her that and point her in the right direction where she can now take over for herself to buy her own supplies and learn more about it.

Maybe direct her to these forums and give her the name to a couple vendors in your area for her to visit.

All of ^^ This ^^

The next time, just tell them where you got the equipment (have a business card on hand) point them to the liquid place you purchase from. Do not offer to do it for them. Once you start, it is hard to get off that train.

Something like this happened to me with someone from work. I decided to use irony and sarcasm to get my point across in an Amos and Andy sort of way. I put on black face, a butlers suit and follwed her around saying "Canz I gets ya sommo juice Ms. Daisy? Id'z be happy to payz for it mi self! Canz I getz ya anything else Ms Daisy?" Man did that backfire! She didn't get the point and HR yelled at me for 2 days for being racially insensitive. I ended up having to host the Black History Month information table at lunch time every day for a week.

This reminds me of old smoker friends.

'Can I bum one from you?' - Yeah sure, I don't see why not.

'I'm broke, can you spot me a pack?' - Well sure, as long as I get one back sometime (haahaha)

'Dude get me that carton.' - Um...f-no.

Yeah eh! Whats up with that, there were some guys you could pretty much set your watch by.

Yeah, it's break-time, here he comes again, "Can I bum a smoke dude"?
Get a job ya bum...here ya go then.

Has anyone ever, I mean ever, been paid back by this type of guy?

Back when smokes were under a buck a pack is one thing, no probs!
But now at 10 bucks plus.....Heck no, get a job! lol

Years ago, while drinking beer and playing cards, a good friend finally hit me up to bum a smoke. No problem! A while later, he hit me up again and again, no problem. The third time he hit me up, I said "they sell smokes right there at the bar". He said "no, I quit!" I said "you didn't quit smoking. You just quit buying."

So far, I have never been hit up for a vape.

Hahahaha! Actually I would be in trouble if I handled it that way, as this lady is black.

Sadly people today expect a free ride. The more you give the more they take. Don't waste your time. You open yourself up to liability issues these days trying to help out. They have a problem with whatever and can sue. Believe me I have seen it all.

This is so true...I work at the USC School of Law so I too have seen a lot of things I never would have believed before.

That's awful... I can't imagine going up to someone that I've never talked to before and asking them to do that. And then to act like it wasn't good enough? That is just craziness. The sense of entitlement some people have is insane.

I have a co-worker that is interested in starting to vape, but all he asks me about is where to get stuff. I can't imagine him ever asking me to give him anything. But since I know him, I have no rpoblem letting him trying liquid that neither my husband nor I like to see if he's interested in it.
