How much power is needed for a dripper?

All depends on how you build it. Anything above 50W is a good start. The 15W on yours wont heat up the coils in a timely manner.
It seems that they have a preference for high wattage RDA vaping and stating it as a matter of fact. You can vape on an RDA at whatever wattage you want.
A .5 coil on a mechanical with a freshly charged battery is about 35.5 watts. That's where mine normally run. 15 watts really not the best for drippers but it can be done on almost anything. CHEERS!
The great thing about drippers is that they can go on anything.
For a 15w unit, it's best to have a single coil at 1 ohm or higher.
You're not going cloud chasing with 15w, I'm afraid but if you're looking to be introduced, it's a place to start.

Thanks all, I know sub ohm vaping would need more power, but thought a single coil at over 1 ohm should work. I think maybe there was some salesmanship happening.

Oh yeah, they were trying to get you to buy from them. Anything about 1.0 ohm would probably work, but as you say...it's not cloud chasing and who cares. If it works for you...then it's perfect!

I'm running a dual coil 28 ga kanthal build on my magma 10 wraps with 2.5 id. Its coming in at about 1.0 ohm. I'm vaping at 26 watts on my ipv mini. Great vapor and flavor production. Dripping some Charlie Noble Soller's Pointe. Man some great stuff!
You can run a single coil RDA at 15 watts all day if you want too. Before I switched to using Reo's exclusively, I used Kayfun RTA's on regulated box mods all day long at 1.3 ohms and 15 watts. Very enjoyable. The only difference in a RDA and a RTA is the tank. If you want to use multi coils you're going to run into ramp up heating issues though.

Personally, I would shoot for .8. You wont be getting much heat off of a 1 ohm coil at 15 watts. .8 will move you closer to a better vape. But I'm running .5 dual coil at 50watts, so I am a little biased.
I vape a Magma as well and love it. Not sure if you knew but you can dual coil a magma, no problem.
But, if clouds aren't your thing, I can dig it. I just love the Magma and am surprised by the amount of Magma users that are on this forum.

Magma is an oldie but goodie. Great for flavor chasers such as myself. Once you get the coils right...the right height over the air flow...tunes it right on in. Every dripper should have at least one. Highly recommended.
