To put it another way,

4 parts VG
1 part water

I dilute my VG in advance, making 150mL per batch: 120mL of VG and 30mL of distilled water.

This is a good ratio. You can also use PG instead of water if you like TH.

Just curious - does this mixture decrease the vapor production considerably?

No very much if anything at all.

Great question...I was just searching the forum for this! So if I use 5% FlavourArt (tobacco's) to all VG, the percentage of distilled water should be 15%?

Not sure what your recipe is or what your asking?

I just start with 100ml or so of Pure VG and dilute it down with water in a 4:1 ratio. Now when my recipe calls for VG, I pull out the pre-diluted VG and mix away.

I don't add water each time a make a batch of juice. Too much hassel.

Hey zoiDman...good to see you!!! My recipe is basic! I'm using FA Cuban Supreme (my 24/7 addiction) at 5%! I'm trying to cut out the PG (temporarily, physical symptoms)...I used to mix at 80/20, then down to 70/30 and now I'm at 60/40 (PG/VG) and am noticing my juice is starting to get a little thick, which I don't want. I make 15ml bottles, and I'm down from 12mg nic to 10mg nic!

I read above that 20% water was suggested, to make the VG the consistency of PG! Am I still confusing you? Sorry....

I like to make my juices fresh!

Good to see you also. I’m with you now. Here’s what I do. I take a very simplistic approach to DIY.

When I first started mixing, I tried this ratio and that of PG to VG. I was also sliding down the nicotine scale from 36mg down to where I’m at now at about 12mg.

What occurred to me early was that all my recipes range from 14-18% flavoring/sweetener. Seemed if I could find a good balance of PG to VG and mg, I could standardize my recipes. I decided on 40% PG to 60% VG. I like vapor over TH.

So after deciding on a fixed PG to VG and mg level, everything fell into place. I mix a 120ml or so batch of unflavored 14mg nicotine. Why mix unflavored 15mg when I want to vape around 12mg? Because when I add the 14-18% flavor and sweetener it goes down to around 12mg. It makes mixing juice dead simple.

Thanks zoid...sounds like you've got it down as simple as it gets! To make it easiest for me, I'll just mix up some VG and distilled water at 4:1, and use as needed! This will definitely work for me!!! Thanks again!

It really couldn't be any simpler for me.

When I run out of Watermelon/Cherry or what ever, I pull out my recipe card, which shows how many drops of Flavoring/Sweetener to add to my 15mg base, and away I go.

Making pre-diluted VG is definitely a time saver. Also note that you can thin VG with PG or Vodka if you need a better wicking juice but want maximum possible TH.

Let us know how things work out.
