I think with today's prices (general economy for most things), I'd go as high as a dollar per ml. That assumes taxation of some sort and (better) regulated product / more consistent / pre steeped. I somewhat base this on idea that people (includes me) would pay up to $1 for a single smoke, though that of course is under vastly different circumstances.

I don't see things getting to the point I mentioned above, but just trying to to address the OP in as honest way as I can.

See, I'd never pay that for juice or a smoke. For me personally that's a ridiculous level of expenditure. I DIY a lot of juice but I still occasionally buy a few vendor's juices that I really like. However, I also refuse to pay any taxes on juice. Should that scenario occur I'll be 100% DIY from that point on. Right now my bought juices run $11/30ml. That's about as high as I want to go routinely.

I pay .42 a mil from a vendor with a B&M and won't go higher... well, if the one I buy from bumped it up a tiny bit I might but not from another vendor because I know their stuff is way over priced going by the excellence of the juice I buy for way less. We've already seen shipping go up for less service and I've seen more and more vendors say if you don't buy the insurance... sorry. Then there's the having to go to 3, 4, 5 vendors a month to get everything needed and all the shipping costs because they don't carry simple things like cartos. I don't know how much they think we can be squeezed in this economy. You don't hear my vendor's name mentioned much around here because, it seems to me, he won't play ball when they all raise prices. Some don't like honest competition.

oh, those fanboys... I was recently drawn and quartered with nasty, nasty, personal attacks for pointing out the bad business practices of one of their favs or a place they get bought off by... sorry, callin like I see it.. as nothing else really makes much sense. I was pretty shocked by the clicish group carnage of several. The thread soon died naturally. Members like that cause such a bad memory associated with the vendor's name that I wouldn't buy from them if they were the last one around and vendors should really think about that.

And sometimes you just have to "Name them and Shame them"

I notice that some of the "big name" juice vendors are not answering emails for up to 1-1/2 weeks, and also not making much effort to address customer's complaints.

seems like some of them have gotten too big for their britches.....and seem to forget that they are making $ because of this forum and the people here----their customers, ahem! I could hardly believe some of the stories I hear, and these are from members that I know and trust. Some people will not speak out because some of these popular vendors have a huge following and some members are afraid they will be flamed.

As for $17 for 30ml.....people pay $1 and up per ml........even "used" juice in the classies.........hahhahahahahhaha! My ribs are hurting from laughing.

MBV is the future of vaping prices I think, except for "gourmet juice" suppliers, for whom there will always be a market.

As vaping becomes mainstream and popular, prices will become incredibly low when juice is supplied by truly major manufacturers.

It's pretty neat, really. One day, we will look back at this time as the "wild west" of vaping. Everything will get sorted out sooner or later.

The best deals I've found were on Dekang juices from USA vendors. Madvapes sells 80pg/20vg Dekang in 50ml sealed bottles for $10.99. Hoosier gets a couple bucks more for 100%pg Dekang. I keep several 50ml bottles of Tobacco, RY4, and Flur-cured around and add a drop of Lorran's flavoring to make Key Lime w/ a little Cotton Candy for sweetness. I'm partial to the Vanilla Butter Nut, also. I have Lorran's Apple, Caramel, and English Toffee as well as a few others. They all work great with the Dekang tobacco bases, which are cheap and fairly free of strong flavorings. I like the 80pg/20vg mixes best. The 100%pg Dekang mixes seem to have a little too much throat hit and irritation for my taste.

Once you discover the amounts necessary to satisfy your taste, it's easy to mix. I generally mix mine in a Vision Vivi Nova mini tank atomizer and get good consistent results. Just add the flavor to your half full tank and then top it off and rotate to mix. Try to insert it 90 degrees away from the wicking for a more consistent mix. I use a 1ml syringe and find that just enough to show a little above the needle is enough to flavor a 2ml Vivi tank. It's quick and easy. When I find something I like from my rough attempts, I mix in quantity using more accurate methods.

That's what I do, just mix in my tank.

Back in the 1980's I'd bootleg cartons of cigarettes into Basic Training, as I'd sneak out to the PX when I wasn't supposed to, and when the Drill Sergeant said "smoke if you got 'em", I was the ONLY ONE who's got 'em, I had NO PROBLEM selling cigarettes for $1 a piece!! I couldn't barely hand them out fast enough, and grab the cash! I also used to sell large Hersey chocolate bars for $20 each, and could never have enough for the long marches, and guys would buy 'em for more energy to make it through bivouac.

after you have bought a major amount of flavorings and thrown out a bunch of screw up batches

don't put the nic in until you get it right. taste-test flavors in water first. how many vendor juices paid big bucks for are also throw aways? having all the necessary diy materials I don't even throw those away... just adjust them. actually I got into diy after noob-spending... $200.00 on "throw-away" juices... saving them through diy is working.

I'm usually willing to spend a good junk of money for eliquid. As long as the flavor is something truly special and original and the service is excellent I don't mind spending the money to support a small business. :) I do realize how cheap it is to make my own juice but certain companies really do make some spectacular products that I could never make (or think up!) unless I dedicated a lot of time into the craft of juice making (which unfortunately I am not wiling to at this time).

I prefer to DIY not so much for the cost savings, albeit that is extreme @ 6ml+ a day, but more for the customization. Juice has come down a lot from the days when I began vaping 3 years ago, but it wasn't uncommon for me to dump $100 and it all turn out to be skunk juice. That got old, experimenting all the time, and so much of it turning out to be so nasty it would forever stink up an atty. The real problem arose when my tastebuds came back alive about 1 year in, everything I bought tasted like trash, so did my old stand by flavors. Thats when I started DIY.

The juice was just too important to me to risk anymore. If I ran out, or a vendor was out of stock, or it was skunk juice "that I needed to let steep...." I grabbed a cig instead. So I bought all the stuff to mix myself, and about 50 flavors, and went to town. Only then did I realize how insane the mark-up was, and how little things like the pg/vg ratio, or the addition of a little bit of tobacco absolute or vodka would just make things explode. Its one thing to wait for a new juice sample, and pray its awesome, its another to make it yourself. Zombie apoc or not, I'll be quite fine, and if I get bored of a flavor, I can spend a few hours and mix 100 more to try.

Price is only a small consideration, freedom to create the most bad ... perfect flavor imaginable is priceless. Like they say "No refunds due to differences people's taste". Even if you find something you think is heavenly, it would blow your mind what you could custom tailor yourself if you put just a tad bit of effort in.

And quite fun as well!

i stopped buying pre made juice about half a year ago, just to expensive for how much i vape and to much of a gamble as well sometimes you can get two bottles of the same stuff from a company and love one and hate the other no idea how they pull that off.

anyhow DIY is defiantly the way to go i have a feeling that the FDA will be banning flavored juice here soon anyways like they did with all other tobacco products,so its probably a good time to get into DIY if your not already because it will probably be the only way to get anything good tasting if you do ban the flavored nic.

im guessing that vendors will just send you the nic liquid and a separate vial of flavoring to mix once you get it to get around any FDA rulings on flavors. now lets just hope they dont ban or over tax the nic liquid lol.

10 bucks for 10 mL is as high as I will go (edit: and this depends on their vg's viscosity, which seems to add to bottle life). Any vendor charging more, I'm not gonna click Buy. I'll click Back. That's why I found my Fantastic 4 at MBV: The "Scotch-'scotch-'scotchy-'scotch", Caramel Coffee, Pineapple Upside Down Cake, and Root Beer.

And my other flavors: Dem Buns, Biscotti, Virginia Blend, and Turkish Blend from VC.
