I know that's a pretty subjective question, so I guess what I meant was how many times can I refill them? I just ordered a MF, and if I like it, I'm going to have to stock up on extra carts. Would it be overkill if I bought the 50-pack?

Got 7-8 refills out of the six I tested Ms. Katiecat before their performance dropped off.
I get more like 20.. at least...so thats an impossible question.... Some will say they just wont die....

Most will simply not die.
Instead, they slowly and slightly decrease in performance. So slowly it will only be noticeable when somparing to a fresh carto.
it really depends on what juices you are using. if you use darker and especially sweeter juices like caramel,your carto live will be cut in half. i have gotten about 20 refills using clear juice that isnt overly sweet....then switched to a caramel juice and noticing a clear drop off in vapor and flavor after 5 refills....so your mileage will vary.
