From what I can tell there is a mah difference.....I think that means less battery life. The AW CR123 works like this, as you use it the battery depletes, the performance drops as you use it until the performance is so bad you recharge...or it dies. But you definitely get a drop in performance as you use it. With the AW IMR 16340 the performance remains much the same as the battery is depleted...the difference is when you get to the end of the battery from use it will just stop working. Then recharge but you'll have better performance throughout. I just used a AW IMR 14500 on my Reo Mini for the first time and that's exactly what happened. I vaped for a couple of hours and the performance stayed consistent. Then all of a sudden I got two really weak hits and the battery was done....Recharge now. I think I explained this correctly....If not, please correct me. I prefer the IMR....What do you guys think? I still don't know for sure if the AW CR123 and the AW IMR 16340 are exactly the same size....Assuming they are, I'll be making a switch.

My GLV2mini came with two AW ICR123 750mAh batteries. After 7 months of steady vaping on these two original batteries my GLV still vapes like a champ. I've always been a bit disappointed in how long they stayed charged, though. It may be that they are loosing their life; if I go out for a long night I make sure to bring both batteies

Can someone explain the difference to me?Do the 16340s have less mah?

between AW IMR 16340 and the AW RCR123a is that the one Jay sells has a protection circuit to limit the rate of discharge as a means to make sure it doesn't explode. In doing this it works well in stacked (5v) settings and stops a lot of burnt and too hot hits. The IMR is a different battery internally, made with 'safe from explosion' chemicals and specifically engineered for quick and hard discharge applications (like vaping).

I do not own any AW IMR, but I have 4 of the red unbranded IMR 16340 that COV sells/sold. Mine are rated at 350mah and hit very similarly to the AW RCR123a from Jay... maybe just a touch hotter. Even though they have a 350mah rating vs the AW's 750mah, they last me about the same length between charges (GLV2 mini with 1.5ohm cisco 901 attys).

For that matter, my Ultrafire (blue ones fit, silvers are too wide) hit so close I cannot tell which batteries I have in.

For 5v, stick with the black/silver AW Jay sells... for 3.7v, it matters less.
