So I just bought the plumeveil rda and it is nothing short of amazing. Anyways, I have put two builds in this and they have performed greatly. The only problem I have had is my cotton is completely fried! I am running a .3 ohm dual micro coil build and it hit phenomenally. But it is burning the hell out of my cotton. So I guess my question is how often do you change out your cotton in your rdas?

The most I was getting out of cotton was 3-4 days depending on the juice, how often I use and the atty. I usually vape around .2-.6. On occasion I could get a week on the Magma around .5-.6, I think it helped that the wick stayed saturated.

Now I use cellulocotton/rayon and only change the wick because I want to or I'm bored. My plume veil had the same wick for 2 weeks, I changed it because I wanted to do a different build.

Running organic cotton from CVS I was changing it (depending on use of atty) anywhere from every day to once a week. Heavier used attys called for more frequent changes. Typically one knows when to change it. All depends on build though.

Running Shiseido, I have had same cotton in a heavily used build since this past Friday and it has yet to discolor or gunk up.

Guess it comes down to build and type of cotton, and how far one will tolerate before changing it. I used to be lazier with the organic regular cotton balls as it was a hassle, now with the Shiseido I can change out my cotton quicker, and it is easier; although not even necessary!

I use the Japanese cotton stuff (Koh Gen Do), and I find myself wicking once every day or two days.

It depends heavily on the juices I'm dripping though, like I can use the same wick for about a 3-5 days if I'm dripping only one flavor profile (ie: only tobacco-y flavors, or only fruity flavors). If I'm switching often (which happens more days than not), like going from a fruity juice to a chocolate/tobacco juice, it's necessary to change more often.

Also I've had some wicks work better than others, some of my best have been using a very very small amount of wicking material, and in doing so, I was able to use the wick for a full 12 days (I was on vacation and didn't wanna have to change my wick tbh, so it worked out well), and it tasted fine despite switching juices multiple times a day. I find what really ruins wicks more than anything is ANY sort of dry burning to them. Sometimes I'll have a relatively fresh wick but if I get a gnarly dry hit I'll swap the cotton out, because after that dry burnt hit it'll never taste quite the same.

On that note, I need to rewick today lol.
