How often do you have to drip? New to attys

I am new to direct dripping on attys and am curious how often I need to drip. From what I learned so far I should only drip 3 drops at a time but I am dripping after about 5 long slow drags or else I get the dry taste. Is that normal? I like the flavor and vapor I get from dripping but it seems like I have to drip after every use.

Depends on the type of atty, and how you have it set up. With a 510 atomizer 3 drops - 5 hits would be about normal.

The one I am using is a 510 but I have some LR306's coming in the mail. Will they be the same?
