Thanks everyone. I started off so great, with Volt carts. I didn't start the problem until a day or two before this thread. So I think that must be when I started the new order of 6 carts. I will try to see if I kept the outside package to see if it shows signs of water damage - but I don't think it did. We have had heaps of rain here, but the batteries are all working great.

I kept some of my old original ones I got first up as spare parts. Could I clean those up to use? And if so, the best quickest method. Even if I have to stand by them with a hair dryer for 2 hours lol. I don't want to buy a pack of smokes.

Imagine, I can definitely send these back. I've opened say 1 - 2 carts out of each pack, and the others are still sealed behind the foil. 2 or 3 packs will be all open trying to dig through looking for another since I started this problem, but I'd say 3, maybe 4 boxes still have open/unopened carts (all brand new) in them.

Imagine, should I try soaking one of the new ones overnight in hot water? I'd really like to get some of the ones working properly. If so, how hot do I make the water?

BIG UPDATE:
I have found a fix I think. Please tell me if I should not be doing this to all my carts.

I used the 19 gauge needle to poke all through the hard stuff on the cotton, and repeatedly to loosen it up like my original carts were like. Then I filled it like normal, left it for a while, and am now vaping properly on my new WONDERFUL passthrough battery. I love this battery, and I'm so happy as the flavour has returned, instead of burnt taste. So poking the cotton seems to break up whatever this stuff is, and allow the juice to spread out and get to where it needs to go, but I don't know if I should be doing this to them all.

As mentioned earlier, we had a lot of rain. I don't have the old packing unfortunately, but if the package was damp, wet or something, could that have caused some type of what I've described? We are also a humid climate, so moisture can take a while to dry out.

SO happy I'm back to normal vaping again. :toast:

I would just be concerned about what that hard gray/yellow stuff is (eewww). With the blister packs and condoms in place, I doubt if anything could get in there to cause whatever that is. If it's just damp from moisture, there's a chance that it might react funny with your liquid, but not in a way that would create a hard, crusty layer over the batting (filler), which should be fluffy and white. If the filler is wet from excessive moisture, it would appear grayish - maybe try blow-drying one to see if it turns white? (they have to be completely dry.) Also, when you poke at the filler, does anything flake off? That would be a sign that something's in there that shouldn't be. If it just feels like you're loosening up the batting and not having to break through anything, then maybe that is something you might have to do to use the EcoPure under your conditions. Glad you have something to use though, until you work it out.

Hi chickOZ... So sorry i didn'nt notice this post earlier, and that you are having some teething problems. With SI's carto's ive never had this problem, but in the olden day with other no name brand old school 510 carts i've had something similar. Its kind of like the filler has melted to a hard film like putty in parts. Well for me anyway an very rubbery hard to get anything needle through it. Never found out why or how that happened. I will be back in melbourne sometime tonight and have a few spare carto's i can send you if you need. Just pm ( message me through ecf. :). I hope your experience gets better and it will. Glad to See more aussies coming by this awesome vendor!!
