Smoke that analogue anytime you want:

For a lot of vapours it almost seems like total conformation that they don’t want to smoke anymore.

But if you worry about relapsing or something, then maybe it wouldn’t be a good idea and perhaps find something new in vaping like new juices or something and distract yourself from the temptation.

So this is really up to you, only you know your own body well enough to make that kind of judgement. Personally, I've smoked one analog (social thing) since I made the switch to vaping and it was awful and I didn't want to do it again but on the other hand one of my coworkers smoked an analog and the next day he brought a pack of cigarettes in instead of his ego pen. So just be honest with yourself, if you know you can have just one then it's probably ok but if there is any doubt in your mind about relapsing then it's probably best not to tempt fate.

Well I found an open pack on my desk at about two and half months vaping. In a moment of brilliance, I took one out, went outside, found a lighter, and then touched flame to analog and inhaled deeply. What happened next is still a bit of a blur, but somewhere in there I remember gagging and thinking have my toenails come up yet???? The dog just sat there watching me like "that was a real smart move".

True, I've had no desire for a cigarette since I started vaping. But, I have had a desire for the simplicity of just lighting up, especially when things just aren't working quite right.

I know me. I'm a lazy creature-of-habit. If I could smoke inside then smoking would be easier. And, I would have had a lot more trouble making the transition. I likely wouldn't have made it at all.

Why do I use my ADV almost exclusively. I like it. But, I might like others just as much. But, I KNOW I like it. IOW, it works, and I don't have to think about it or make any decisions.

Cigarettes don't leak, don't get clogged, don't need to be charged. That's why I won't try one and risk my laziness and habitual nature taking over.

I think if you have one and like it you might start thinking you can have one occasionally and not get addicted again. That's the trap Ive fallen into everytime I've quit smoking. I didn't have vaping as an alternative in those times though. Do what you feel is best but just remember how addictive cigarettes really are.

I'm addicted to vaping now, not smoking. I don't see the problem having a cigarette every now and then. I don't think one can know if they are no longer addicted to smoking unless they do have one; like in AA when they say if one thinks they are not an alcoholic they should try controlled drinking.
I haven't had a drink in the U.S. In almost 10 years. I don't miss it, I don't crave it. I do drink in Prague though, but have no desire for it in the U.S. Same with smoking. I have a few there for social reasons, but don't crave cigarettes at all. I'm no longer a smoker or addicted to smoking, just like I grew out of being an alcoholic. I think it would bug me if I craved it or thought about it and never really knew...

I own tons of egos even some of the HUGE ones lol and lots of toppers. :) I still dual use some like this month I bought a pack and smoked them. But here is the thing, I vaped right along with them. Do I miss smoking - sometimes, do I crave them - not so much. But I do not mind others smoking around me and never have. So my conclusion IMHO is that although I thought I was super addicted - maybe I am not. Hopefully someone else can make some sense of this post. I do agree that it is the OP's choice of what to do though as it is all of ours. :vapor:

I see several folks referring to 'social smoking'. For the life of me I cannot remember a single gathering where smoking was a requirement for being 'sociable'.
Maybe I was/am just not very sociable, but probably just me.

There are such gatherings. Maybe not in the US, however...

A form of Denial
I only smoke in Social situations........yea, right
Closet smokers

Only when I hang, drink, with coffee.........yada, yada, yada

If one smokes a PAD they are a smoker. If one smokes a few a month, they are a smoker. Smoking = smoker, just to what degree.

I consider myself a dual user and smoke maybe 10 cigarettes a year, but not a smoker. A smoker to me is one who smokes everyday; just as an alcoholic to me is one who drinks every day...

So, your answer to the question "Do you smoke?" Would be 'Kind Of'. ;)

Go for it, it was an eye opening experience for me. Now I can have a smoke when I want, and go right back to vaping cause it tastes better and doesn't stink. If you enjoy it immensely wait longer.
I can do this also, but it's very rare. I just had one a few days ago, first one in at least a few months. It was after a few drinks and dinner and smelled amazing to me. I had it and was shocked I enjoyed it. Every other time I have a smoke I don't even want to finish it. But that was that, no urge for another. I love all this amazing juice too much to want cigarettes again.

I think most ex-smokers get the urge once in a while. I know i do. I've been vaping for 4 years and in that time i think i've smoked 3-4 cigarettes, the last one about 18 months ago. My overwhelming memory of that cigarette is the foulest taste of chemicals and ash which stuck around for a couple of hours. Oh and the smoke was completely unsatisfying compared with vapour....
Unless you really have to test yourself then don't bother. If you do feel you have to try a smoke, don't worry about it. Think of it as any other vice that you indulge in once in a blue moon.
It's a bit like picking at a scab to see if it's healed yet !!!!

I've quit analogs the day I started vaping and don't ever go back to that horrible addiction. I had crazy cravings first couple of weeks but now, 4 month later, I could care less if someone is blowing smoke in my face. As a smoker, however, I was always envious of the people who were social smokers, people that can have one or more analogs a night and not smoke for months after type of thing. My question to all of you is how soon is too soon to have that one analog to see if you'd still enjoy it, to know if you completely kicked the habit, to find out if you are ready to say yes to one without intention of ever going back to the addiction itself.

I've been vaping since 2011, and there were times where i smoked a few here and there, especially when drinking and socializing, I don't want to show my Big ... Mod to strangers and blow Steam Train Clouds while I socialize with them in a Party, so once I've got to know a person then I'll use my mod, and entertain his questions about it. I've got this saying, "Once a Smoker, always a Smoker" Vaping just helped me reduce it a freaking lot.

I've been smoking 2 packs a day before, and now, I think I smoke about 10 cigs a month, only when drinking heavily and socializing as I said :)

The thought of trying one goes through my weak and curious mind occasionally. I would love it if I found it to be totally repulsive. The thought that I might like it scares the livin bejesus outta me! I hope my curiosity never gets the best of me!!!

We were in a dollar store over the weekend, and while paying, right up near the front where the mgr's office is, I detected that someone in that office was smoking, or had smoked very recently -- but I think it was pretty fresh, because it didn't smell bad -- which scared the hell out of me. I can't AFFORD for it not to smell bad! :D

I did. After over three years of vaping (no smoking a'tall), I tried to smoke what was left of a friend's Marlboro at the local fair one night. Ptui.....they really do taste and smell as bad as everybody said they did. I don't want 'em anymore.

It's like asking if I'm tempted to eat an entire plate of steaming, rare, liver lol....s'okay! Pass, thanks!
