You have WRONG if you think it's the FDA coming after us.
With evil stealth tactics ..The Big 8 tobacco companies..
will and have even belittled themselves.. and surely will continue to do so in many
different MAJOR ways (marketing e-cigs) in order to CAPTURE all and make EVERY sale RETAIL!!!

Whether you think so or not... they are pushing masterfully for hundreds of billions
of dollars of future business of OVER the COUNTER SALES only, period!!
And they're coming after us... They want to and NEED to destroy every single one
of the SMALL BUSINESSES that are and HAVE and would sprouted up...
and make sure us their customer (We) and future... are all
subjuect to their every selling and buying whims.

They have 2... that's right TWO more YEARS at least to play their MIGHTY
what will be future... illegal GAMES... and YOU haven't seen anything yet!

Yes! There is a way to beat them at their own game.
Take a few moments out of your life and have those
around you do the same (if possible) and go over
to Youtube.com and tell your story of how or what a
difference in your life vaping has made. And, as requested
by the FDA send them a copy telling giving them the same info
within the next 73 days.

Then get intouch with everyone you know and
have those that will do the same. Start something that millions
will follow. Do it NOW! Don't WAIT on someone to tell you to do it later.
We need everyone that vapes and their families and friends that
will to take a moment to tell what they know about vaping. NOW!!

With a little luck perhaps, facebook, tweeting, something for the good
will go viral... and the FDA will get
tens of thousand of responses like they never expected
and meet real vapers face to face on DISKS. Now do it, please?
This is the ONE sure way to beat big Tobacco.
Only we do it right!

The only way big tobacco and the pharmacy companies get laws made to favor themselves is with BIG MONEY.
Enjoy the last little bit of vaping freedom you have, because the days are numbered, unfortunately.
The only true way to hurt them...don't start smoking again.

If folks like me had given up that easy you'd be clicking your heels together.

Gents, sadly, you're both right!

Whether anyone wants to admit it or not, the US of A we live in today is a corporate oligarchy. We must be careful, and wise in our fight.

The Polish are and were criticized and stereotyped for years, for battling for their homeland against tanks and machine guns with steeds and sabers during the first world war. While their willingness to fight and bravery to try was nothing less than honorable and just, their means was well...stupid. No way to ever win in those circumstances.

While not nearly as dire, our issues are similar. We're outfunded. We're outgunned. We're outmanned. This doesn't mean we can't win.

We just have to be smart about it. We're essentially fighting a battle of propaganda at the moment. There are few if any hard facts. These hard facts are the prize. OldSeer is correct, that we can make a difference telling out stories to the world as loudly as we can.

Have either of you checked out the #IMPROOF movement?

I WILL do my part, but I will also wait for word from CASAA. They are working through all the regulatory mumbo jumbo in order to create the most logical counter attack.
We need to do this Right - the first time.
Also - your statement is incorrect - the FDA(under pressure from BT) is the entity we must battle. They are coming after their share of those Billions and understand the financial loss if they fail.

I agree everyone should start preparing their written testimony now and take time to refine it for best representation of what Vaping has done to improve their life. If people wish to publish videos, those should also be referenced it their written testimony.

We The People - ...................................didn't this used to mean something?

If they see that we aren't going away, they'll just start trying to nose their way into this industry.

I'm not sure where a few of you have been but the Tobacco Industry
has spent well over $159, MILLION dollars in advertising alone
in just the past two years on E-CIGARETTES. They Admit to this!

They're already here!

They have been Sponsoring almost every single
MAJOR music concerts were kids of
all ages have been showing up.
There the Tobacco Industry
has been handing out FREE E-CIGARETTES... They Admit to this!
Somewhere in America they are on 48 States TV stations with ads.
They sponsor major Car races... and even were an E-Cigarette sponsor
of the Super Bowl.

This list goes on and on and on.... and the Tobacco Industry... They Admit to it!

And, for the next 2 years... Well... You haven't seen anything yet!

Let CASAA. Be CASAA.! There shouldn't have been one single thing said
that they were not ready for in the first place... but give them their due...
but... don't wait for someone to come in and tell you to wait a little longer...
and then falter time and again... if you're expecting something great to come
from CASAA,,,???... you are making a big mistake... they're human!

This is about each and every single... that's SINGLE one of us.
Neither CASAA. nor myself are the one vaping from your mod?
Are either one of us the one that can tell the story of how a son or a daughter
or whoever saved your life or made a difference in it when it comes to vaping?

Tell it on YouTube.com ... then As the FDA requested send them a copy
telling them the same thing

I think it serves better to have an educated approach. That being said, CASAA is coming up with a targeted approach in which we can all fight in unison. If everyone does a half baked job of writing the FDA without pertinent information then what good will it do?

We have 75 days to do this. We don't need to run off now and do a poor job. Let CASAA do what they do best. They will let us know the best recourse to take.

 .. Way to rollover and die. :glare: Seems big tobacco has YOU right where they want you, conceding to defeat before the fight has even really begun. This tactic has been used by the false "powers that be" since the ancient times. Scare the masses into thinking that there is no way they can win, and the masses will simply give up, and the powers that be win my default ... Its a Jedi mind trick, and apparently it is still a very effective one.

Tragic ...

I would tend to agree with the sentiment that waiting for CASAA is not entirely the correct approach: rather, everyone should start to work on what the want to say now--and then refine that statement once CASAA has had a chance to offer their analysis. This way, the information that each person sends in will not be a carbon copy of the same thing with an attached personal essay. Those sorts of letters, et al., are easy to dismiss because, while numbers count, what they say can count just as much. I've read any number of people on these forums opining about a passage of the FDA proposal that they have read and what they think it means. You know what? Include that in your response. As was said earlier, CASAA is made up of people. They, too, can make mistakes. They may also overlook or deem insignificant a point that you, personally, feel is important to make.

Part of the problem with regulation is that it tries to define many issues and practices into a single, simple, easily manageable scenario. Right now, the money is speaking. BT and BP would like to see a world filled with stunted ciggalikes and non-refillable cartridges so that they can continue their stranglehold. Government likes this because it means they don't have to worry about things like e-liquid, drip tips, and mods. They will continue to get their taxes. Health organizations like this because they will still be able to point to things that look like cigarettes, play the fear card, and continue collecting their subsidies. Demonstrating that we are united AND diverse will make things that much more difficult for the FDA.

Last, realize that your comments will likely make only a small difference (at most) in how the regulations are modified before becoming final. However, your written statement will become a matter of public record--and the public record is one of the first and best weapons that can be used when the regulations are challenged in court.

I agree 100% and more people need to quit smoking and start vaping! Plain and simple!

I don't really care what big tobacco does. They have done some shotty things in the past but they are just trying to make money like every other huge corporation. The vuse looks pretty cool and when it's available in my state I may buy one. I think maybe big tobacco will help more people switch but if they put additives in their juice then I won't buy it
